Just pointing out it does indeed have at least its own thread. Might have more if this were kiwiflagger... Regardless, various polls have put the outcome of such a referendum as far from certain. So a question will be answered, you might see the answer as pointless, but.

Fair enough then, carry on.

Answer the question what is more important to you.

There should be a 'between'... or at least a 'than'... in there somewhere for that to be an answerable question.

I think you missed it as you quoted me before I finished it

Wow two threads 14 pages incredible
But this guys knee sliders and Mossy's possibly hot neighbour racked up 8 pages in a day or so.

Give me an honest answer is the need to go changing the flag as important to you as finding out how hot Mossys neighbours daughter actually is?

Look at the question in the post you didn't answer.

Perhaps if you ninja edit a question in, try reiterating it in full if it goes unanswered.

But to answer it, yes, flag is more important. Which could be why it has been discussed on the news, while mossy's neighbour hasn't. Remember not to judge overall opinion just by one subsection eh!

I never made the statement though. You are avoiding the question.
No one cares overseas what the flag is. Another nations flag is generally insignificant to foreigners unless it is being displayed after they have jackbooted their way over your borders.

You didn't ask a question, you asked for an explanation, which I just gave you.

Which is the second best reason to change it. The first being that Kiwis might want to change it. And the rest of that bit is just some weird shit.

I'm happy to change the flag I think it needs a change, just not now. Right now it's just a distraction.
But it affecting NZ profit, that's just fucking retard... If someone ends up in Australia when they wanted to goto NZ based on the flag, it's probably for the best they might get confused by things like the arrows on the road telling them which lane they should be in here
Also I'd rather 1st change the political system I favour Anarchy but would be happy with Democracy

This:

Explain to me how a countries flag is actually important at all.

Is not a question.

Nonetheless I gave you an explanation:

It's the primary symbol of our country, it's as important as you believe that makes it.

Which sorta means that it's OK for you to believe it's not important, it's just not OK for you to insist that other people share your belief.

So as I said, you go ahead and find the subject unimportant, (although I'm fucked if I'd be spending as much energy on something unimportant as you are), and leave the rest of the word to figure out if it's important to them, eh? 'Cause, y'know, it's their opinion to form, innit?

NZ's profile internationally is all but insignificant, if you believe having a flag that looks like a dozen others is as commercially advantageous as having a unique, memorable one then you go right ahead and believe it mate. Me, I'll continue to believe that a graphically dynamic and nationally unique flag would benefit NZ to the tune of a shitload more than $23 M/pa.

And calling negative equity the reason for any company's failure is a bit like calling rigor mortise the reason for a corpse's death. Nor did I go anywhere near SE, old news, boring when it wasn't.

I asked that question what three pages ago? immediately after you made the statement. You and you alone avoided answering it.

I have then repeatidly asked since then asked you to give some evidence to back up your assertion. You have avoided answering it.
You then three pages or so later come up with a question for me that is not based on anything I said. Then you insinuate I need to answer this question for you first. WHat a load of crap.
It is you who is avoiding answering a question.
It is plainly clear that you have no ability to back up the statement you made. Otherwise you would have by now.

NOW that is a very tempting offer. Get me a free one here too so that I can spend my summers there and here and I'll give it some serious consideration. Failing that I can always move in next door to you, yeah?

If you prick us with a pin, don’t we bleed? If you tickle us, don’t we laugh? If you poison us, don’t we die? And if you treat us badly, won’t we try to get revenge? If we’re like you in everything else, we’ll resemble you in that respect. If a Jew offends a Christian, what’s the Christian’s kind and gentle reaction? Revenge. If a Christian offends a Jew, what punishment will he come up with if he follows the Christian example? Of course, the same thing—revenge! I’ll treat you as badly as you Christians taught me to—and you’ll be lucky if I don’t outdo my teachers.

Read a good quote last night.

"The more authoritarian a society becomes, the more there are of the disaffected who are ‘fighting for freedom’. Conversely, the more liberal a society is, the more people you will find who are fighting to exert authoritarian control. Oddly enough, in both cases, they are the same people. The freedom fighter is just a revolution away from becoming a dictator. The concerned and righteous, who wish to make some changes for the good of all, are just an election away from pulling on their jackboots. Never trust the activist who wants to change the world for the better, because their ‘better’ is usually the worse for you."

Glyphosate is not deemed to be super harmful, but is also something I don't think we should be ingesting unnecessarily; interaction with gut bacteria etc. There's a strong case for limting its use to just enough to keep pests at bay, and to have a non-use period just prior to harvest. However there's unlikely to be a strong case for the stupid worlders are bleating about deliberate mass poisoning for mind control or whatever the fuck the flavor of the week is.

Glyposate is a herbicide the pests are plants.

I never liked the idea of using it then immediately grazing the cows with it, as was promoted a few years ago rather than after brown off as it was originally speced for.
Turns out my gut was right when it started causing residue problems
It is however still one of the safest Herbicides, not to mention the cheapest now Monsanto's patent has lapsed.

Its use is limited, It has labels it is also limited in that the use has to be documented and applied by approved handlers when used as widely dispersal.

Also the original idea of the round up ready plant cultivairs was sound in that you could use it with up having to use the more toxic but (uncrop harming) herbicides.
Of course Monsanto wanted to much and also wanted to make the plants sterile as well.

Pretty much. Also, I know where my flour came from.

I can't cover every possible cause of ill health in my diet, but I check enough to cover the obvious ones.

And while it's possible to coke yourself to death it's a fucking sight more difficult to die eating anything available from your local market than with anything you'd likely to have been eating before modern agriculture came along.

Balance. Before pesticides we'd be lucky to eat a quarter of what we grew. And that we did eat was a fairly high proportion of weevil or similar.

So, enough pesticides to be able to reap most of what we plant, but not enough to kill us.

We must have it roughly right, we're a lot healthier than our ancestors. Although 'er indoors is now on my case about too much fruit, ffs...

How do you imagine weeds are controlled in the bazillion acres of grain crops grown across the prairies of the world? Hordes of Mexicans with chop hoes working through the night?

Unless you buy organic you probably won't have eaten a single cereal grain that hasn't been sprayed with herbicides in your entire life.

Some of the translation was mind boggling... but no one can afford refugees

some of the newer german vocabulary is mind boggling, hence the translations :)

What this guy is saying in essence is that we have to go back to 1630 environs, during the 30 year war and we know what "Voelkerwanderung" means. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thirty_Years%27_War
He also of course mentions the solidarity after the second world war. But he does not mention that after the second world war even the rich were 'bombed out' and living in makeshift shelters. And if peeps did not work together the ruins would not be re-build. Also as he mentioned there were a lot of widows and children, so the men that migrated to germany in the fifities/sixties/seventies came as a guestworker, first from Portugal, Spain, the Italy, Greece and Turkey.
We don't have this shortage of men in Germany today, nor do we have a ruined country to re-build. The big wave of refugees or Asylanten came in the seventies from Vietnam, Iraq, Kurdistan and Palestine, then in the 80's it was the Iraqies, Iranians, Kurds, Palestinians .......and it has never stopped since.

Voelkerwanderung = A People on a wander

but then on the bright side, Flag change, Rick McCaw for PM, and look over there a pretty blond that can't get a job in London. Priorities.....we haves them.

Ok September bring it on,,,,,,,,

lets see if any of this shyt pans out !

September 1 – This marks the beginning of FEMA’s annual “National Preparedness Month (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Preparedness_Month)”
September 7 – Labor Day
September 11 – The 14th anniversary (7+7) of 9/11
September 11 – The last day of trading on Wall Street before the end of the Shemitah year
September 12 – Madonna’s Rebel Heart Tour opens in the United States. The first stop is in Washington D.C. and according to Holly Deyo (http://standeyo.com/Holly_Articles/150808.26.things.html) the “opening theme is Desecration of The Bride and Arrival of Fallen Angels”
September 12 and September 13 – Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky, a leading authority in Ultra-Orthodox Judaism, has indicated that the Messiah that the Jewish people are expecting could come at this time (http://www.breakingisraelnews.com/44534/leading-israeli-rabbi-messiah-imminent-jewish-world/#q0gqzu6ckqR1b3XH.97)

September 13 – The last day of the Shemitah year. During the last two Shemitah cycles, we witnessed record-breaking stock market crashes on the very last day of the Shemitah year (Elul 29 on the Biblical calendar). For example, if you go back to September 17th, 2001 (which was Elul 29 on the Biblical calendar), we witnessed the greatest one day stock market crash in all of U.S. history up until that time. The Dow plunged 684 points (http://moneymorning.com/2014/02/13/stock-market-crash-history-dows-10-biggest-one-day-plunges/), and it was a record that held for exactly seven years until the end of the next Shemitah cycle. On September 29th, 2008 (which was also Elul 29 on the Biblical calendar), the Dow plummeted 777 points (http://moneymorning.com/2014/02/13/stock-market-crash-history-dows-10-biggest-one-day-plunges/), which still today remains the greatest one day stock market crash of all time in the United States. Now we are in another Shemitah year. It began in the fall of 2014, and it ends on September 13th, 2015.
September 13 – Partial solar eclipse (http://www.timeanddate.com/eclipse/solar/2015-september-13)

September 14 – Rosh Hashanah
September 14 – The first day of trading on Wall Street after the end of the Shemitah year
September 15 – The 70th session of the UN General Assembly begins on this date. It has been widely reported that France plans to introduce a resolution which will give formal UN Security Council recognition to a Palestinian state (http://endoftheamericandream.com/archives/something-else-coming-in-september-a-un-resolution-establishing-a-palestinian-state) shortly after the new session begins. Up until now, the U.S. has always been the one blocking such a resolution, but Barack Obama has already indicated that things may be different this time around. It would be extremely difficult to overstate the significance of this.
September 15 – The Jade Helm military exercises are scheduled to end
September 17 – If there is going to be a rate hike in September, this is probably when (http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2015/business/economy/fed-interest-rates.html?_r=0) the Federal Reserve will do it
September 17 – This is the deadline (http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2015/08/16/holdout-arizona-gop-sen-flake-says-hell-vote-against-iran-nuclear-deal/) for Congress to vote on Obama’s deal with Iran
September 17 – Constitution Day (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Constitution_Day_%28United_States%29) – most Americans do not even know that this holiday exists
September 18 – The Days of Awe conference in Sandpoint, Idaho (http://theeconomiccollapseblog.com/the-days-of-awe-conference-sandpoint-september-18th-and-19th) – Christians from all over the nation will be gathering to call out to God in prayer and to repent for the sins of our country
September 20 to September 26 – The “World Week For Peace in Palestine Israel (http://www.globalministries.org/world_week_for_peace_in_palestine_israel_2015)” sponsored by the World Council of Churches
September 21 – This is when the Hajj (pilgrimage to Mecca) is projected to begin (http://islam.about.com/od/calendar/fl/When-is-Hajj-2015.htm)

September 21 – The UN International Day Of Peace (https://www.google.com/#q=internatinal+day+of+peace)

September 22 – In Islam, “the Day of Arafat (http://islam.about.com/od/calendar/fl/When-is-the-Day-of-Arafat-2015.htm)” falls on this day
September 23 – The last day of the summer
September 23 – Yom Kippur
September 23 – The Muslim holiday of Eid al-Adha, also known as “the Feast of the Sacrifice”, begins

September 23 – Pope Francis arrives at the White House to meet with Barack Obama
September 23 – The 266th Pope will be meeting with the president of the United States on the 266th day of the year. Some have suggested that “something is being birthed (http://www.wnd.com/2015/08/did-isaac-newton-predict-major-turn-in-bible-prophecy/)” on that day since 266 days is the average length of the human gestation period.
September 24 – The Pope addresses a joint session of the U.S. Congress
September 25 – On May 14th, 2014 French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius famously proclaimed that we had only 500 days to avoid “climate chaos”. His time frame of 500 days ends on September 25th (http://standeyo.com/Holly_Articles/150808.26.things.html).
September 25 – The Pope will hold mass in Madison Square Garden in New York City
September 25 to September 27 – The United Nations launches a brand new “universal agenda” for humanity known as “the 2030 Agenda (http://endoftheamericandream.com/archives/in-september-2015-agenda-21-will-be-transformed-into-the-2030-agenda)”
September 25 – The Pope appears at the UN to deliver an address to kick off the conference at which the 2030 Agenda will be unveiled
September 26 and 27 – The Pope will be traveling to Philadelphia for the “2015 World Meeting of Families (http://www.cbsnews.com/news/behind-the-scenes-pope-francis-visit-to-philadelphia-world-meeting-of-families/)”
September 28 – The first day of the Feast of Tabernacles
September 28 – This is the date for the last of the four blood moons (http://endoftheamericandream.com/archives/sign-of-judgment-total-solar-eclipse-on-march-20th-falls-in-the-middle-of-the-four-blood-red-moons) that fall on Biblical festival dates during 2014 and 2015. This blood moon will be a “supermoon” and it will be clearly visible from the city of Jerusalem.

Why is it all about the cyclists who don't pay anything for the privilege or consideration of using the road? :oi-grr:

Probably didnt help, but Gaddaffi didnt have a drought ...........

Now , I do think that this consumerism pump and dump society is wrong , Sustainability ( note I didnt use the word organic , while a great thing , can be helped along WITHOUT harming the surroundings ) should be our No1 ideal

But if you want to make money ..you buy cheap and sell high ......soooooooooooo

Billionaire climate philanthropist George Soros (http://www.theguardian.com/business/george-soros) invested more than $2m (£1.3m) in struggling coal giants Peabody Energy and Arch Coal in recent months, despite having once called the fuel “lethal” to the climate.

You mean the union owned labour party want him. Well, some of them do.

Whether the English people want to make the same choice Greece and Spain made in deciding they didn't have to suffer the consequences of their overspending remains to be seen. Popular opinion seems to be that labour have just made themselves unelectable, certainly their policies have made them all but extinct whether popular opinion supports them or not.

What popular opinion will never be is that money is infinite. You'll never find more than a handfull of idiots with that opinion.

People live on hope - by the time they realise that Corbyn has no chance of introducing the changes that they desire - two score years of same old have passed!

See-saw Margery Daw - Jenny looks for a new master - hope - same old same old - round we go again - it keeps us occupied and focussed!

'We have not moved beyond race’: Ferguson Commission calls for police, court reform (http://www.rt.com/usa/315340-ferguson-police-court-reform/)

“When someone is jailed for failure to pay tickets, the justice system has not removed a dangerous criminal from the streets. In many cases, it has simply removed a poor person from the streets,” the 16 members said. “Being put in jail for failing to pay a ticket for expired license plates may seem extreme on its own. But when added to the reality of why people often fail to pay those tickets ‒ that they are low-income workers struggling to make ends meet and take care of a family with wages from an hourly job ‒ it can become tragic.”

Precisely the reason dissatisfaction with wealth share distribution is always high on the political agenda!

Divide and conquer - the trilogy:

A) Those that have more than they require support the causes that help them keep it or obtain more!

B) Those that have less than they need desperately scramble among causes that demand a greater share!

C) Those that have control and orchestrate the anomalies strive to maintain the status-quo by fair means or foul including war and economic depression!

I.E. - A and B blindly diligently beating each other up for the benefit of C - :bash:

Civilised society - a wonderful concept - oozing it's way steadily around the world - chaos - order - chaos - order - you can really feel the love! -

“Labour are now a serious risk to our nation’s security, our economy’s security and your family’s security. Whether it’s weakening our defences, raising taxes on jobs and earnings, racking up more debt and welfare or driving up the cost of living by printing money – Jeremy Corbyn’s Labour party will hurt working people. This is a very serious moment for our country – the Conservatives will continue to deliver stability, security and opportunity for working people.”
