That looks mint Rob, be interesting to hear them. Fer christ sakes get someone to do a ride by on your bike so you get the full effect, you don't get it until you do that, I always liked the sound the FZ1 made with the Arrow can on it but OMG! When I had a mate do a ride by for me, firken orsum!!

Good ride today, Classic Club.
Once we got past the oldies, was all good.
Led the way up Whakapirau thru to Te Onepu, then Robbie led, was a good fast ride, Robbie, Grant, me and some other who I dont know on a VTR, left the pack and went for it.
Stopped at Te Aute pub waited for the rest to catch up.
Then off down Te Aute trust rd/Middle Rd/Clubrooms for cordial.
Mucho fun.

What an awesome ride yesterday, was a bit cool first thing but a good day weather wise, Thanks to Warrick and Donna, Steve and Mary, Dale and Kate, Rob, Mark, Lance, Wayne, Collin, Dave, Darren for turning up. That is an awesome museum they have down there brought bvack some memoreis it did.
Good paced ride for all involved, comment on the way back was " I dont ride this fast dureing the day cos it aint half dark" That was on our return down 50 last night thanks for leading them Dale.
Had one problem with a Kawasaki droping its nuts well gear shift bolt, but we jerry fixed it. Hope you had a good day at Manfeild when you left us you guys. We cleaned the Levin RSA up at 8 ball so HB rule food was ok but not what we thought, we thought we were having Lunch.
Video will be up later, it will be splitt into many segmants as I had a few problems, (didnt tighten up the thumb screw and I had a bit of bounce):done:

So thats what held you guys up. I thought the worst when the chasing pack dissapeared from my headlights :shit:. I got out of the winedy stuff, slowed down and eventually stopped. Turned around fearing the worst, road for quite a few k's before coming across you guys. Just really relieved to find was a mechanical fault, not an off.

It was a great day though. Great company from all involved and a bit of a laugh at the RSA. Did WC need many stops on the way back home????

I hate the SV set-up. Nice for riding two up with the panniers but a bit quicker ride with that set-up is not nice. Will have to soften the rear and firm up the front.

Have a good ride as that road is in top condition. Clean and shingle free.
Lots of Goats, we came to a standstill as they crossed the road, and turkeys on the road yesterday with one sheep added to the mix. One bacon at Tangoio.
It is going to be another cracker day. Off to buckets with the youngest son. To have a look and maybe inspire him to finish his bike………………….

Came across some hogs on the way home through the twisty stuff and they didnt want to let us past and took up all the bloody road, didnt even pull across at passing bays. Got past them on the start of the flats to Tongoio. All in all a good ride. Im due for ANOTHER back tyre. Would be under 5000k on this one. I guess two up riding does make a difference. Will try a Michellin Pilot Road 2 this time I think. To date, 2 Diablo Rosso's, 1 Conti Road attak and i havent evenhad the bilke a year!

You can’t compare the Pilot sport with the pilot Road2. Very different tyre and the PR2 is a new technology and the Sport have been around for yonks. The sport is a good tyre but will wear out quick. I have one on the SV. 3k and well over half worn. Most of that has been genteel riding 2 up.

Ahhh snapped lol. Yeah i was the second bike on the way out, and leader on the way back in. Whats CBR meant to be? First bike is my boss and his partner was pillion.

We had just put my new (second hand) yoshi carbonfibre shorty 4 into 1 pipe onto my bike so we had to go for a little rip to see how it went, and also because it was so bloody nice today all-be-it a tad nippy before lunch time though.

Steve the buggas have new kit in those vans . Works on a very low power off frequency K band so most detectors will struggle now , no more half a Km warning :crybaby:
To have any chance you have to turn K band and POP on , at least you get to hear every automatic door again !

Unlike the speed cameras that we have been used to (which operated on the Ka band frequency) these new cameras operate on a low frequency K Band signal around the 24.085GHz range (normally K band radar is 24.150GHz).

Because of this “off” frequency point and a very low power output, detection is difficult for many radar units. Those without pulse detection systems are unlikely to give any warning. Those with K POP detection will give some warning range that is variable depending on what side of the road the Camera Van is parked on.

This is what ive been told/know.

There are 30 of these special editions in NZ.
You get a certificate saying what number yours is and all that rubbish.
Apparantly the special editions are the only k7 model that came in orange and black scheme. (for NZ) - you can get the scheme outside of nz but its not a special edition and doesnt have carbon fibre goodies etc.
They have all these carbon fibre parts on them.

So me thinks they were a standard black and orange scheme. Got them into NZ, chucked on some carbon fibre here and there, gave you some fancy special edition shit and a certificate and theres only 30 of them.

Thats the best I can understand it.

Yep.

I imagine arrival at Porangahau between 12-1?
Leaving BP Stortford Lodge 11.
But we're going via Middle rd and coming back HW50 so the boss lady says.

Cheers Dooly, Manawatu crew is looking at a 10:00 to 10:30ish departure with views to arrive at a similar time. I've got my doubts whether i'll be there with them as I have to go to Anza's first thing in the morning and i'm not sure what time i'll be able to get away, so if can get away at a reasonable hour i'll be taking a more direct route. Hopefully i'll catch y'all there.

Might see you fullas out there, got tired of only having a track bike so now have an appallingly bright blue SV1k07 with a flame job. Very tacky but very cheap. Too embarrassed to put my personal plate on it, will have to be incognito from now on.

Cheers, Xan

Brilliant day out today. I counted 25 bikes before the palmy crew arrived. Thanks to Tony and Tina for the juice afterwards.
