I hope to go down on Sunday to watch this young whipper snapper race. Who else is going down on Sunday? I was thinking of leaving here at 8.30. But, and the big but is, will the cows behave them selves? If yes I can get away 8.30, if not who knows what time. So how about I arrange to meet people at the BP Taradale road at 8.45. If I do not turn up just go and I will see you there. But I hope to make it with no problems. Lance (trxter) is coming with me and I hope W and Mrs W. Anyone else?

He was a good cook when he was here. On occasion he did cook for us. One thing he was really good at was Bananas cooked in there skins with the chocolate buttons pressed in to them with icecream and hundreds and thousands and other sweet stuff all over them piping hot on the cold winters nights.. :niceone:
But he could also cook a good basic feed and I sssume he cooks at the flat, but not sure how much he will cook for you over the little cooker. Might be a long night.

Down on talk, bottom end power, but not horses. When you are comfortable with it you will find the fun starts at 6-7 thou R.P.Ms. She is a real weapon but not at low revs. Take your time to get with it but ride at higher revs than you are used to on the old Thunder Ace. If it gets to low in the revs it will give you grief. Love the 6 speed box aye. Good stuff BigG

Well it was just Canarlee and myself today. Thanks Dooly for letting us know about the rain down HW50. So the suggestion was made to go to Tarawera. No. Couldnt even see those hills, so we went up to the Waikare.
It was a decent ride up to. Well it was for me any way. After lee had a bit of a scare he had decided that caution was the better thing, At least his brakes work on the Bandit. We found one of those HP thingys and he was testing is headlights and waving to us. Nice guys those chaps.
Gentle cruise on the way home as there had been some rain on the roads and that road is so greasey.

Knew the day was off to a bad start when I was passed by 2 guys on blinged up Harleys.
I was tootling along at 100kph keeping pace with the lad on his 250.
Got into Waipawa via Tiko etc, missed the turnoff to Patangata, did a slow speed turn to go back, wrong camber of road, usual poor Ducati turn lock, and down I go!
Couple of forward rolls down a bank. Cunt!
How's the bike, more importantly!
Got off remarkably well considering it landed on the road.
Broken clutch lever, broken indicator, some scratches on the LH fairing lower, and a crack just behind the indicator mount on the fairing which is hard to spot.
Got it upright, fired it up no probs being injected, found the right road and off to the pub for a cold one.
Lots of bikes on the Patangata rd, area, mainly Harleys, and they never waved, so that made my day even worse.:msn-wink:
Gave the bike a thrashing on the way home to pay it back for being bad.
Got all the scratches out off the fairing with cutting compound, fixed the indicator, so all I need is a clutch lever. Looks an expensive type being Italian, so not too bad a result all round I guess.

Note the careful insertion of the descriptor 'route', rather than 'highway'.
Route 52 runs from Masterton to Waipukurau via Alfredton, Pongaroa, Wimbledon, and (almost) Porongahau. This 'route' extends for almost exactly 200km. A more fullsome and eloquent ride report shall be crafted and posted this evening.

I don't use brakes unless necessary....Sugilite will show you how that works. Or come ride with us again and I will. Much smoother riding style, and means your average speed goes up without having to increase your top speed. Trusting yourself and your bike is the biggest part of it.
As far as watching my mirrors...it's a good habit to develop. You keep in touch with what's happening back there so the group stays cohesive. And if you are on your own, still do it cos sometimes what you didn't see can kill you.

I recon Moo will get known for her muffins and cake and stuff. See last weekend was kinda fun so we recon we should do it more often. We need a 20 litre water bottle and a bag of ice. I found the lack of water a pain last weekend. So we will get it all sorted for Taupo. Need to be sorted cos......................
Drum Roll HXC please,
We got a RG 150. But we have no one to ride it. What did you say Wipper.Snapper?????????? :sweatdrop
So the P.D.R team was born. ( Pat Doohan Racing )
So we are going to do the summer season with Pat at the sharp end. Only a little bike but I recon he will enjoy it. he enjoyed Meeky Mouses one. Go that girl.
So we have a bike and a rider. IF team cudby are happy to share their rider that is? So we are looking for a spare engine for the two smoker so we can pull it down and get intimate with it and have a spare. If you hear of one please let me know. I recon we will need a spare at some stage in the summer. Hopefully not Taupo cos we are still new at this two smoker stuff. Mind you the old A100 gave us some ideas.
So if hear of any bits please ask how much and send us a P/M so we can build up some spear bits.
So roll on the good days in the pits.

I would like to see Paddy smoking it up on a decent bike because he has what it takes, thats just from my observation on his attitude to ridin. Yeah maybe, 86GSXR and sarah are in Taupo and coming down from there today and I thought it might be nice to hook up if they come down this side, considering the weather I think it would be the best way to come down. Just need to get some comms happening as I don't have Al's cell# but i've asked Sandra to try and get in touch with him. If that falls through I mmight just come up that way anyway, what you guys up to?
