Yep. Gave you the big wave.
Yep us to. W stopped to do somthin and we stopped to see what he was doing. Just after we started off at the Te Pohue golf course I think I waved to you. Hope you had a good ride G. We did. Thanks everyone for a great ride, lunch and company.

It was great to see you all turn out and join us albeit for lunch only. The lake ride was great. Excellent road, but there was a very light sprinkling of drizzle about quarter of the way through. Not enough to wet the road, but it was nice to do that particular road again.
We got back into Napier at 5. And the only Police we saw was by the airport. Quiet road too, with very few vehicles on it. Did notice the Tarawera was shut for renovations.

Not at all. Was a very even steady pace and there's more traffic on Middle road than was that side of the lake. Back to Taupo for an orange juice before the ride back to Napier. Once again was hardly any cars on that highway too, and the roadworks were all cleared, so no hold ups there either.

Having taken as read that these rides just happen every Thursday as a matter of course and irrespective of whether any specific individuals are able to make it or not, I went on one last Thursday (or was it the Thurs previous?). Five of us who turned up had a great time. Of note however the Thursday before had only one person turn up.
I am right in presumbing that these rides are regular, and that if you feel like a ride you just turn up and ride with whoever else is there and it doesnt need a "leader" for it to happen?

The Burger Fuel ride generally tends to be at a slightly slower pace than some of our other rides. Shirley (CrazyHorse) is very good at taking people under her wing though so if that pace does get a bit "spirited" then I am sure that she will hang back and keep you company.

Don't sweat it. I am more than happy to tag along at the back and just catch up when you stop or at turn offs.

Went out for a play at 'Udrive' with a workmate on sat arvo, he's taken a super kart (ie racing kart) and stuffed a 2001 R1 engine on the back of it. this things foooken crazy fun and a little scary to drive. Certainly sorts the men from the boys
he's still got a few things here and there to sort out to make it a bit more user friendly ie improve throttle mechanism but he'll get there, gotta expect a few teething problems :woohoo:
i managed to break the throttle cable (easy fix on the spot) but no so easy to fix was the rear tire that gave up on me mid drift with a huge bang
we were doing roughly 12 sec laps and the record fastest time is 10.8 or something, not bad for first time out there!

But hopefully they wont be like the pack we got tangled with on the BF ride on Sunday.
Giving the starfish, wind sail, ride position with their German hats on wobbling all over the show.
Mind you the wobbling could be due to some of them getting close to 150-200 kilos in weight.

I'd looked at the forecast, and thought with a new, unscrubbed front tyre, that would not be a good idea, so stayed home. Was talking to someone in Taupo mid-arvo and they said it was wet and blowing hard.

The PP2s on the Ducati are perfect for it and my riding style on that bike.

I liked having the lens right out so it has a hint of fish eye about it, but means having to get closer to the action, which I know if I was riding would have given me a fright. Had alot out of focus due to the camera picking up the grass!
The photo of you Grant(if only it was fully infocus), followed by Brent, and the last photo of Jason are my pick, but only if they were more focused and tighter photos, but all trial and error.

Post classic had 40 bikes racing, There was Pre 72,82,89 senior and junior together (running as separate classes) . Everything from CB350's to FZR1000's !
Qauilified 15th with a 1.25.2 . there was 15 bikes within 1.24 to 1.26 . Track was wet 2 races before posty race 1, was dry(just) at race start. Got a good start in race 1, started spiting in the 2nd lap and by lap3 it was bucketing down, alot of riders slowed down , dont know why lol, Its only water :headbang: and narrow Sport Demons like water  there bloody good in the Dry too. Had a good race and a few wee slides at turn 1, 5 and 8 and got 9th (3rd in Pre 82 jnr) Pretty happy with that result:clap:
Race 2 was dry but had a crap start , bogged on the line on lost 5 places , rode hard and got back past 3 of them and had a 3 lap battle with a TZ350, got him in the last lap in turn 9, Got 16th (4th pre82 jnr?)

Met MK1, Charlie41 and Brett for brekkie in town and Ross and his lady were there too enroute to Gisborne.
