One 500cc Krauser engine whit parts for sale. The engine belong to a friend, who wants me to sell it for him.

This engine has the right gearbox.

my friend wants to retire for the Money he get´s for this engine ( he think), so the price is high.
But take a look at the Pictures and se what you think. I can get more detailed info on this engine, but it can take a couple of weeks.

The engine has been used in the Swedish sidecar racing in the 90´
everything Sells together not separtely.

Had an approach from Ben Birchall this morning, He wants to come to the Tri series with Maria Costello. Anyone got a (long) bike they would like to lend him?

Put him on Pinky. See how a real rider goes around Wangas.

Hey you...... Pies are better than women because:
They don't talk back,
they don't get headaches,
they don't care if you 'eat' them out in public,
they go down easy (with a beer or two),
pies don't care if you say they have too much fat,
I can eat a few pies in a day without getting in trouble...
Pies don't get jealous if I grab another one,
I can even share pies with a friend....
if my pie goes off, I can biff it out and get another one.....

Ok?

I don't know what has gone wrong in your education if you have reached this point in your life, still believing that rape jokes are funny. Not only have you insulted both Ella and Kai, but you have continued to perpetuate the cycle of victim blaming that results in the majority of rapes going unreported. I hope that you read this comment and feel incredibly ashamed for your behaviour. You were not being funny. You were being pathetic.

I sincerely hope that you redeem yourself slightly by apologising to Ella. In future I suggest that you think before you speak.

HOW TO GET A ROOT

I think that might be a bit hard...with all that sand in there, there can't be much room for anything else.

I think that might be a bit hard...with all that sand in there, there can't be much room for anything else.

A young man during the gold rush decided to leave his family and go west to prospect for gold. After three months out in California, well, a man has needs. With little success so far, he went out to the nearest whorehouse. He said to the man at the front desk, "I'd like a woman for the night please." The man at the front desk replied, "Well, sir, I'd be more than happy, but I should warn you, the only woman we have left tonight is a woman named Sandpaper Sally." The prospector said, "Excuse me? Sandpaper Sally? Absolutely not!" and left.

Another three months passed, and the prospector was getting extremely horny, so he went back to the whorehouse. He walked up to the front desk and said, "I'd like a woman for the night please." The man at the front desk replied, "Well, sir I'd be more than happy, but I should warn you, the only woman we have left tonight is a woman named Sandpaper Sally." The prospector remembered the name, and he considered for a time, but in the end, he said "No thanks, I'm not interested," and left.

Six months later, the prospector finally found gold. It was his first true success out west, and he decided that with his new found gold he should celebrate. The prospector went back to the whorehouse and at the front desk, said "I'd like your finest woman for the night!" The man at the front desk replied, "Unfortunately, we only have one woman left for the night, and her name is Sandpaper Sally." The prospector, full of money and seed and lacking on patience, said, "You know what, I'll take her!"

The man led him up to the second floor and into a bedroom. A few minutes later, in walked Sandpaper Sally. All things considered, she didn't look too bad. The prospector was in no mood for foreplay, so he stripped naked and stuck his dick into her as fast as he could. Only then did he realize his mistake, as he found out why she was known as Sandpaper Sally. It really felt like sandpaper was being run along each side of his dick! After a couple of thrusts, he said, "Sally, I'm sorry, I just can't do this anymore. Your vagina is like sandpaper!" Sally replied, "You know what, here, let me try something," and she ran to the bathroom. After a couple of minutes, she came back and suggested they try again. The prospector figured, what the hell, let's give it a shot, and thrusted in. To his absolute shock, it was no longer like sandpaper! In fact, it was incredible! This was the best sex he'd ever had!

After a few hours and a few turns, curiosity became too much. The prospector said, "I'm sorry, Sally, but I have to ask. When we first started, your vagina was like sandpaper. But, after you came back from the bathroom, you gave me the best sex of my life! What did you do in that bathroom?" Sally replied, "Oh I just picked the scabs and let the pus run."

With some people being directly affected by rape and abuse its probably just unlucky and a poor joke/bad timing whatever, I'm not terribly upset about it - but has struck some nerves.

It needs to be pressed apart and machined etc. It's going to be pricey no matter which way we go. Might even end up buying another whole enigine.

Another racer has a GSX bike (running) with a couple spare donks, so can consider that. Use the best one, keep a spare & sell the last engine & bike off.

Though you never know what's out there, we picked up a low mileage, welded GS1000 crank about 10km from me - and I'm out in the back country...

The later 1135 or 1150 as it's known crank is a better bet and will fit the early cases. Bigger gudgeon pins etc too.

Hi 7787,

Welcome to KB.
I’m Scrivy, not hiding behind a made up name/number, and who are you?
Nice of you to delete your post, so I couldn’t reply to it in full.

Anyway, the so called offending sentence of mine is below:
‘Have you ever given it any thought that Ella might actually want some strong burly man to get drunk and take advantage of her????
Hence she offers up the alcohol........’

Where exactly did I endorse or implicate rape??

If you had have read quite a few pages on KB before posting your precious outburst, you’d know that I take the piss out of everyone – myself included, and that the only implication in my sentence was that she needed someone with more balls than Kai. It was purely a dig at Kai being too soft. Just like I take the piss out of Gordie, Drew, Kick, and even my own passenger.

If you’d bothered to read KB, you would have noticed I also made mention to Drew sodomising people in the back of his truck. Does Drew sodomise people?? I wouldn’t think so. Does Gordie have big lumps on his balls? I hope not. Do you burn your bras? Again, I hope not.

If you don’t like what you read on websites, then simply don’t visit them. Have you critised all the other people on KB for saying they do 200kph, or wheelies, or even illegal drugs?? Are they too not perpetuating the cycle of carnage on our roads, and lowering our morals?? Shock horror. I know, why not create an outburst for them too.

To say that I ‘perpetuate the cycle of victim blaming’ is absolutely delusional.
As a matter of fact, I too have had a family member that has been raped. So according to you I must have laughed for days! FFS!! Get over yourself. Make up stories in your own head, but don’t accuse other people with those sordid fantasies. And please, don’t accuse me of endorsing the rape culture in NZ - I detest it.

If you're in Oz or NZ the GS1100 is an 8 valve shaft drive....But the GSX1100 16 valvers were sold as GS1100's in the US..

And, no, the 8V 1100 crank doesn't easily go into a 16V motor. If you look at getting a crank from the US, confirm whether it's from a 16V or 8V motor before paying.....

My new job has played havoc with our rebuild, and the chair isn't ready. We want to do the north island rounds to test it for next season though.

Are you home yet? What has to be done?

Yeah, back home for a couple weeks.

Need to fashion the right side of the swingarm to be removable, and the chain adjustment into it. Then get the body work sorted.

We should have been a lot more focused in the off season, but after last year motivation wasn't that flash and we fucked around with other stuff instead.

Ricks one just has 2 10mm cap screws and the axle holding The right side on. Chain adjustments are made through slotted swingarm pivot. Easy as, you should have it ready before sunday.

We need to make ours come apart at a bend, or the wheel won't actually come out. Not overly hard, but needs to be accurate.

Slotted axle mounts don't work, as we have bearings in clamps there.

It's not particularly difficult, but we don't want to have it too heavy.

It was about lap 3 of qualifying, got harder on the brakes than I had been and it flicked sideways, I was off the brake straight away an turning into the slide but we were pretty much into the kerb already

Checked the brake bias afterwards and it had a heap of front, not sure how as we normally just have it slightly to the front which is where we set it at the BSTT and we've only done one meeting since, we're adding that to our "check before each meeting list"

I wouldn't have thought a long bike would unload the rear that aggressively with too much front brake. Shorty is funny in that too much rear or front will make the rear brake loose. Mind, ours was so under sprung the thing could get a shit load of momentum before the back shock topped out.

I've already been thinking about that, about 90% sure I was braking in a straight line as it doesn't turn in under brakes very well at all, in hindsight I probably shouldn't have got off the brake and we would have just spun and Will might have shouted beer

I saw it first hand. It looked like the back locked up & it started to go sideways, the rear went left, opposite lock was applied & the brakes released immediately to prevent it spinning around it then veered left due to the opposite lock & the side wheel came up, the pilot, in an attempt to sucessfully prevent a roll over then turned right & locked everything up as hard as he could, the black lines prove that. I don't know what it felt like to you Warwick, apart from a trouser full of shit, but that's certainly how I interpreted what I saw.

People have been asking for a copy of the proposed pre 82 rules, sorry it has taken so long for me to get back to you. Here they are. The main bones of it are not negotiable, however we are quite happy to write further clarification into things if required.
This is a copy of the email that was distributed.

Below is the proposed regs for Pre ’82 (Australian period 5) Sidecars, these will be presented to MNZ initially to include in the supplementary regulations, with a view to include them as rules. These rules have been formulated as close to the Australian specifications as possible, mainly so
we can compete with them on a level playing field, & so if their sidecars come up for sale, we can buy & run them here with virtually no modification.
Initially it is intended that Pre ’82 will run in the current F1 F2 modern class & it is likely that these outfits will be on a similar pace to the current F2 machines.
Should numbers increase to a point where there is sufficient to run a Pre ‘82 class alone, the situation will be addressed at such time.
The NZSRA Pre '82 championship will be run in the same races as the modern NZSRA points rounds.
A trophy will be presented at the annual prizegiving to the Pre 82 champion, if only one
outfit contests the championship in the first or subsequent years the trophy will still be awarded to that team.
If anyone would like a hand hooking up with some Aussie teams with a view to purchasing an outfit, let me know, otherwise, get building!!
Cheers, Steve Bryan.

ROAD RACING – PRE 82 POST CLASSIC SIDECARS
Introduction:
Pre 82 which will consist of racing machines manufactured before December 31st 1982.
(a) These rules are intended to ensure a high standard of authenticity and presentation of the representative periods.
(b) All machines must comply with the safety and technical requirements as detailed under chapters 8 & 10 & 27 of the MNZ manual.
(c) Pre 82 specifically excludes the following: Honda VF750F interceptor, Yamaha RZ (all models) Suzuki GSX 1135, GSXR all models GPZ 900 all models Yamaha FJ 1100, Ducati F1 all models Suzuki RG 250, 400, 500 Gamma road bikes.
(d) Maximum engine capacity 1300cc.
Eligibility
The eligibility and dating of post classic sidecars shall be considered in terms of the major components. The group into which a post classic machine is classed will be determined by the age of the newest component.

 Hydraulic bias adjusters permitted
 Linking of brakes permitted
 Front and/or rear sidecar exit configuration
Steering / Front forks:

Except for period style EI, Lectron and Gardner Flat Slide carburetors, all carburetors are to be of square or round slide type only. All other flat side carburetors are specifically banned, unless fitted to the specific bike during the period. (Onus of proof is on competitor rider or entrant of the machine).
Turbo and supercharging shall not be allowed.
Replica Parts and Materials
Replica parts, major or otherwise, may be used in any proportion, provided that they are true and faithful copies of the original components made to original dimensions from the materials originally specified. In the event of originally specified materials being unobtainable, then materials used must be near to those originally specified.
Carbon Fibre and Kevlar components, major or not, are prohibited in pre 82.
APE and MTC and similar big block after-market engine blocks are prohibited.
Accurate replicas of period equipment that is still manufactured are permitted. Remember that the onus of proof for a period part is on the rider. Any doubt may result in a protest regarding eligibility.

That would come under the "further clarification" & I doubt there will be a problem. These rules were formulated from an amalgamation of the NZ pre 82 solo rules & the Aussie period 5 rules, which to be honest, are a tad vague.
Seeing as weber & dellorto carbs along with Hilborn injection were freely available pre '82 there will be no issues with their use.
The carb rules refer specifically to bike carbs.
Any car component manufactured pre 82 are fine to use, for example the Mk1 Cortina discs Mo Hayley used are ok.
The idea of putting these proposed rules out there before they are locked & loaded into MNZ rules is that they can be quickly tweaked without going through a convoluted process.
Once we are all happy that the wording & content are correct, we can go to the next level.
We also need to allow for Dyna style ignition systems & magneto's.
These aren't my rules, they are our rules, I'm keen to hear from anyone that wants to provide some positive input.

Bit of an anomaly with not allowing GPZ900 engines but further down there's mention of allowing fuel injection as per GPZ1100. Does that mean allowing the use of the injection off an 1100 retro-fitted to an engine that is eligible? Or oversight? :msn-wink:

Classic (or period) Racing is designed to showcase what the Populous was doing at the time.

Your first point made me laugh as the register has been promoting false history from day one...EVERYTHING got modified out here as soon as it hit the track and components from all parts of the world were used - whatever was available, and cheap....Immaculate and original appearing manxes were rocking horse poo.

However, the thing that gets my blood pressure up past dangerous is poorly written rules. Not your fault Steve as you've largely copied what was there as that has known interpretations. BUT any time you have to refer to a separate list of what is acceptable that is just wrong. State clearly in the rules what is allowable taking into account what is being done elsewhere - and what substitutions are acceptable.

If the Aussies ban specific suspensions and chassis unless it's a genuine period original, fair enough.

You may yet see a remit from CAMS tidying up the carburettor rules at next AGM.....if I can be fucked writing it.

As I said, Aussie rules. Nobody has a pre 82 sidecar yet, so if they are built to these rules it keeps it from being chequebook racing & keeps it simple, rather than throwing the door wide open to the wealthiest muppets. It's not like the rules currently exclude anybody.

Your first point made me laugh as the register has been promoting false history from day one...EVERYTHING got modified out here as soon as it hit the track and components from all parts of the world were used - whatever was available, and cheap....

Correct, and if you can prove it was done you can do it. Apart from what is excluded (ie certain chassis). remember its not racing anymore, that's what the nationals are for.

P.S. yes some homos have been writing the rules to advantage themselves, but they are dicks.

Bit of an anomaly with not allowing GPZ900 engines but further down there's mention of allowing fuel injection as per GPZ1100. Does that mean allowing the use of the injection off an 1100 retro-fitted to an engine that is eligible? Or oversight? :msn-wink:

If you use a correctly engine numbered GPZ 1100 dfi engine then I guess you can use the dfi system it came with, otherwise not.
That was pulled directly from the NZ Pre 82 rules.
We could always just have no rules like pre 76 currently does.

I'm not trying to make poorly written rules, I'm trying to foster a class that exists in other parts of the world for the benefit of people that are inspired by the type of machinery in question.
There will be people that will come racing that never otherwise would have because the era of machine they are interested in is not currently catered for.
Please feel free to help with the creation of rules, but remember that part of the idea is not to stifle people's creativity, but to keep the costs down to encourage people to become involved.
It would be nice to imagine that a relative simpleton (your average sidecar racer) could construct one at home with basic equipment.
The separate lists I refer to are the MNZ rule book re fuel, machine construction dimensions etc. I'd be happy to incorporate them into this document, but at this point I saw it as double handling.

I'm surprised these rules are not clear, as they are virtually the Aussie rules in their entirety plus all the relevant bits from NZ pre 82 solo. If we could just concentrate on what is clear & what is not rather that arguing the point as to what they did & didn't have, we can move in the right direction & get some robust rules before they go all official.

Doh...My bad...GPZ, air cooled/water cooled. Don't ask me ANYTHING about these "modern" engines...I know feck all

I think you make up for it in other areas Nev.
The idea behind leaving max tyre size at ten inch is to keep costs down believe it or not.
A brand new ten is only a few bucks more than a brand new smaller slick, however this was more aimed at the pre 82 guys catching the second hand ten inch F1 tyres as they get chucked by the modern guys. We all do that, so no point in essentially ruling against it.

Upfront, Steve, I've no problem at all with the sidecar side of these rules. But the pre 82 solo rules and in particular the carby rules have anomalies incorporated which annoy the hell out of me. The PCRA I understand have a section on their website explaining what is acceptable. That alone is not acceptable to me as the rule book should be "IT". I've never looked at their site as i build to the book....
Same argument I had with Billy re 250 prod rules - if I have to speak to someone at MNZ about what is acceptable then the rule book is bypassed. But as he found out in the end, book overruled verbals.

Most people who will be looking to build something will i think be ok with these rules...only the odd bugger who wants to reinvent the wheel and who would be better off with a modern anyway.

I would encourage anyone who wants to put a bit of thought into it to re quote my proposed rule post & modify or clarify things to give this turd a bit more polish & see how it looks.
Grumph, consider those car carbs to be in, seems no point in withholding them, as there's no price or performance advantage over good bike carbs & they were the go in the day. It's one of those things that comes back to what one believes in & are happiest working with. Personally I would stick with a simple as shit set of Keihin CR's, but the choice should be there.

so if they are built to these rules it keeps it from being chequebook racing & keeps it simple, rather than throwing the door wide open to the wealthiest muppets.
That hasn't really worked that well with Pre82 solos

There will always be chequebook racers regardless of class

13 or 14inch diameter? most of the modern F1 long bikes use 14 so if 14 was allowed it means a lot more old tyres coming through

No, it hasn't has it. My pre 82 bike would be the cheapest in the top ten by a huge margin & it broke the pre 89 lap record on Boxing Day by over 1.5 seconds.
