There was a corroded pin in the CDI for the connection to the idiot switch for the sidestand. When we got the new one in and hooked up it fired up on three while we were looking for spark on plug number one.

It's uphill for most of that untill the curve and I think would be longer than Ruapuna, maybe sprockets one or two smaller for the rear or one bigger for the front if you want to be safe

Amazing weekend .. locked up front and rear going into the barrel and round she came !! thought it was going over but the 8mm thick glass fibre held strong and Henk hoped back on to do some solid swinging in shit conditions..Cheers every body for helping out and giving us good advice, our times dropped every race and chasing sponge bob down in the last race we dropped 3sec doing a 1"29sec..Cheers to Brian for swinging on the Monday top effort mate..

Anyway this is a poor place to put an earth under a bolt that could work loose and is likely the cause of your issue.

Earths were tight before he went out had checked them. Bike could do with a rewire found the fuel pump wire had been rubbing on something and were a couple of wires floating around going nowhere. Alot of race vehicles come through our workshop like this when they've passed through a few owners. I think Kai's passenger is going to rectify the wiring on it.

Chur, yea it is a poor earth spot, must change it and rewire the bike.. its a mess, also found that I was getting a shock from touching the cyl no. 3 ht lead.
yea plates prob loose after crash, steering might have had a bit of a knock when I hit the wall..

Thanks for the footage. Yip, that corner scared me. The run off is not enough for the angle of the corner. If you hit the grass and slide (which is always the case) then you are going to hit the wall at the end where there is no sand trap.

Unfortunately Jo's Dad won't have enough time to repair the damage on the agip bike and has requested that I pick it up from his as soon as possible.

I am arranging with Bike Tranz to collect it and it looks like ship it back to ChCh for repairs before Nationals.. it would mean its very unlikely I'd make Wanganui now. Sad but what can ya do, shouldn't have crashed lol. Thinking of other options but busy as for the next 2 weeks with final exams at uni and then start summer job straight after exams which is a 9-5 mon to fri gig..

Will have more updates next week I guess.
