Well in the absence of an explanation I'll just have to conclude there wasn't actually any point to your post.
It's hilarious - you can see Patterns of global conspiracy, but you can't see an inferred reference to the Human ability for Pattern Recognition and its development from Children to Adults.
Maybe you'd understand if it was posted on one of your Conspiracy sites or in a Youtube Video....

The human propensity for pattern recognition has been suggested as one of the beginnings of religion - we see faces in the landscape - and propose the existence of "other" beings ..

I did say you were close, did I not - but then you missed the most important point - not only was I implying that most people grow out of this (which you got) - but also the deeper meaning about being wary of seeing patterns in randomised datapoints where no patterns may actually exist.
So, did you watch the video?
No - again, I thought this was obvious - since I neither referenced the video or made any mention of it.

Well you're wrong - again.
If your only intention was to point out the idea of seeing patterns in random occurrences there was no need for the bit about 'adults who laugh at them'.
The only reason for the inclusion of that bit was your inference that anyone who sees events as part of a carefully choreographed plan is to be likened to a child while those who see everything as a totally random series of coincidental events is likened to an adult.
Hence why I asked - have you watched the video?
The fact that you haven't watched it means you're still happy to present your arguments from a position of ignorance.
Well done you.

Well you're wrong - again.
Of course - because the Great KatFlap could never be wrong....
If your only intention was to point out the idea of seeing patterns in random occurrences there was no need for the bit about 'adults who laugh at them'.
There really was - Afterall, Many Adults (and quite a few children) laugh at Immature Conspiracy Theorists.
The only reason for the inclusion of that bit was your inference that anyone who sees events as part of a carefully choreographed plan is to be liken to a child while those who see everything as a totally random series of coincidental events is likened to an adult.
Not quite - There sometimes are carefully choreographed events, there sometimes aren't.
Having the awareness to know that your mind can play tricks on you is the hallmark of an Adult.
Resisting the temptation to jump to a conclusion that suits your world view is the hallmark of an Adult.
Knowing that Correlation and Causation are two very separate and distinct things is the hallmark of an Adult.
What you consistently do is NOT the above - you consistently look at an outcome of an Event, see that someone (typically a person or group that is either in power or you perceive to be in power) benefited from said event and then ascribe blame/agency to that person or group without any other objective evidence.
To that end, using your methodology you would say that the NZ building trades union along with the Real Estate Agents Authority of NZ and Landlords caused the Christchurch Earthquakes.
Hence why I asked - have you watched the video?
No, you asked because you get your jollies off trying to get me to watch your inane repetitive propagandizing Crap.
The fact that you haven't watched it means you're still happy to present your arguments from a position of ignorance.
What Arguments?
What Ignorance?
I've not addressed anything specific on any subject, I've only made generalizations about you and your kind - so why would I need to watch a Video? If I was making an observation on the Video itself, the quality of the evidence in that video then maybe you would have a point.
Well done you.
Yes.
Quite.

After all - is it not you who are so in love with asking cui bono?
So clearly the Chch Earthquake was caused by a Kabal of Builders, Real estate Agents and Landlords - as they most certainly benefited.
Unless of course you wish to concede that sometimes this method of investigation leads to obviously absurd conclusions (like your conspiracy theories for example).....

Positive move I think, guy loses his job due to his lack of transparency in his performance of it. One of the key obstacles preventing the trump administration from acknowledging reality is a lack of transparency.

TDL could infer, his post (to which you referred) cannot infer, much less contain an inference. The interpretation is clear; it is ok to learn something now and then KM, not everything needs to fit in with what you wish it to be. Obviously this is the problem DT has as well; his GDP nonsense, the crowd size and weather at his inauguration, voter fraud, etc.
Perhaps this type of behavior is just symptomatic of access to a plethora of opinions and echo chambers (internet) and a weak mind (placing a higher importance on what one wants to believe, than what is). Here's hoping humanity as a whole can learn to avoid this after examples like President Trump. John Oliver may rub some people the wrong way with his presentation, but in this (and many other cases) he is bang on.

Did you not get as far as the usage note for that case? Sorry, I had forgotten your propensity to stop reading/investigating once you hear what you wish to, and should have asked this question a number of posts ago.
In any case, the usage note example starts with the words "The next speaker..." (see consistency with previous post explaining how speaker can infer, but listener cannot), but perhaps more importantly "Despite its long history, many 20th-century usage guides condemn the use, maintaining that the proper word for the intended sense is imply and that to use infer is to lose a valuable distinction between the two words."
In addition to that, the word you actually used contains no definition of hint/imply/suggest for the word, inference.
So the attempt at shoehorning your own definition through the multiple layers of incorrectness is not upheld, but thanks for playing.
And while this may seem tangential to the thread topic, it is an illustration of how transparency leads to exposing flawed reasoning and poor decision making. Katman could have done like DT and just fobbed off any attempts to 'show his working' to support his conclusion, an thus maintained the semblance of it being a workable one; but was instead considerate enough to outline his reasoning so we could all see its flaws and know the truth of the matter.

Your clutch on that straw looks a little weak considering the source of the dictionary definitions... You'll also find TDL doesn't try to defend such grammar errors with poorly applied, twice removed, antiquated english language conventions
Anyway, thanks for another exhibit of the information mishandling typical of the Trump administration; 'if you don't like the truth of a message, attack the messenger'.
Trump's widespread condemnation of news sources which check and truthfully represent the facts, and clear favor of those who instead favor hearsay and 'popular' opinion is most worrisome. Where will this end? which source will triumph, alt-facts or truth? It would be nice to think the listeners/readers would infer through the erroneous implications of poor media representation. But when you have Yokels, KMs, and Oldriders posting rubbish without fact checking it at a much higher rate than open minded readers can correct it; it is obvious the masses who fall into neither category are going to be inundated with drivel. Just like Grumph is in this thread at the moment

Bi-polar only refers to the way those people act, not what they think.
Drunk ... there's a saying in Latin 'in vino, veritas' or 'in wine there is truth' which pretty much means people will say what they're thinking and you'll see their unfiltered thoughts when they're pissed

Israel has a much stronger economy, an up and coming tech industry, and political system much more similar to the U.S. It is no wonder Trump and other presidents see them as a stronger/more important power.
I rather think Palestine will not deign to play by the rules of the western sandpit; but while what they do could be terrifying for many it would ultimately be self destructive. Regardless of how it may have occurred, Israel has an international mandate for the current borders, Palestine has no viable short term (and not likely in mid or long term) options to change that.

If you refer to the military aid contract, it cannot buy much of any of those things, especially not the political system, which is arguably the most important. For obvious reasons the military aid deal restricts the spend on local products. And the total aid is around 1% their GDP. Their tech industry also encompasses a far wider range than just those of military use.

True and while I don't agree with the settlements. The Palestinians don't recognise Israel’s borders at all, so why must Israel recognise Palestine’s borders?
Also remember those areas never taken not from Palestine but actually taken from the people who actually invaded and took them from Palestine in a series of wars.
Remember Transjorden annexed huge areas of Palestine as their own.
I see the settlement as being a means to get Palestine to formally recognise Israel. But Palestine are too short sighted to ever do that.

I think we can all (or at least mostly) agree with those declarations. But even if the settlements were removed or replaced, Palestine is still a distant second for 'usefulness' to america. The borders make a war of conquest untenable, while a war could be fought to remove the settlements, backlash for the likely civilian casualties would be huge, and the practical achievements minimal.

The events that have happened over the last 15 years (and indeed back beyond that) start to make a whole lot of sense when considered in the context of a plan for a Greater Israel.

We've seen trump and other's manipulate voters by offering shiny theories to be 'considered' which are completely unsubstantiated; as citizens in a democracy we must be smart enough not to waste time on baseless theory. If that is true rather than just a Katman conspiracy, Then please explain why did they give up so much land back to Egypt and to Jordan?

It is not spoon feeding, it is simply efficient information handling; and it avoids trolls wasting time. So for you to with-hold such evidence is illogical, and runs contrary to an informed democracy.

Overnight our time there was a disturbing thread on the ability of the current Whitehouse to deal with a disaster. Disasters or pandemics occur during most presidencies: AIDS, bird flu, Katrina, Ebola, whatever. Such a threat requires the coordination of a considerable number of government departments and depends on timely and accurate decisions and reliable announcements from the Whitehouse.
One of the guys who headed the ebola response under Obama outlined what is required but is concerned that the current chaotic bullshit artists (my words not his) could not handle such an emergency. And I don't think he even referenced the fact that so many important government positions remain unfilled.

For more than two years, Lee Camp has hosted RT’s satiric weekly “Redacted Tonight.” It’s a show in the spirit of Jon Stewart’s “The Daily Show.” That means punchy comedic riffs, plus displays of outrage, news clips and crudely photoshopped collages. Camp’s own style is dense and preachy, and he expresses himself in a flat, nasal shout.

More than one declined now - and climbing. Petraeus and another wanted to bring their own top people with them, they were told no. They then said, "No thanks".
Petraeus would have been an unusual choice, considered capable but sacked by Obama for speaking out of turn, he then gave state secrets to his mistress presumably to impress her. I think he is still on probation for the latter.

Truth is stranger than fiction. In Britain child protection services are run by local councils rather than by central government. Like NZ they have homes for kids that are unable to live with their family for whatever reason. They decided to privatise these homes and the running of them was handed over to corporations.
Unsurprisingly corporations exist to make a profit, so they puchased properties in the parts of town where real estate was cheapest and put the kids there. The cheapest part of town will rarely be the best, more likely it's the high crime part of town - and so it transpired.
Just be aware that if you hear some numb nut politician espousing privatisation of child care facilities that it's a really stupid idea.
There's a ton of stuff on the 'Net about Rotherham and the useless South Yorkshire Police, although I expect the SY Police can be excused because they were still busy covering up their part in the Hillsborough disaster.

I was very clear in calling it merely a "suggestion" - and one that I think is worth considering whether there is any substance in. (In the light of the 'corroborating evidence' of plans for a Greater Israel).
I did say it required corroborating evidence for the suggestion to be worth considering; obviously the corroborating evidence would be to validate the suggestion, not simply go deeper down the rabbit hole of conspiracy theory with the Oded Yinon Plan.
So I do not see why it is worth considering if there is no substance to it. That would simply be a waste of time.

Yeah I was wondering what happened "in Sweden last night".
I see this morning that nobody in Sweden knows what Trump was talking about either. Even less factual than Bowling Green.
He also mentioned what happened in Germany. The mass sex attack by muslim men on German women was fake news, a work of fiction with no basis in fact.
Of course none of this will bother his fans.
It's called Stockholm syndrome.
Trump didn't mention an actual terrorist attack.
Sweden is screwed.

IMO news organisations have no need to make anything up around this idiot, every time he opens his mouth he puts a foot in it. Conventionally politicians going into a press conference will have discussed with staff exactly what will be said - and what won't be touched. Watch any of the NZ Ministers - there's a staffer at the shoulder to stop any off course digressions immediately.
Looking at what he's saying - not reported but actual live film - there's no filter at all. It's stream of consciousness stuff with no pre planning whatsoever.
Sooner or later he's going to say something publicly which will get him pulled up either by Congress or the Judiciary.
I see the trip to Florida was to reassure himself he still had grassroots support...campaigning is one thing, governing another.

This is one great thing about Trump. Over time his positions change radically. Sometimes it doesn't take long at all, he can do a 180 about turn in a single sentence.
An example of his words crippling him was the Executive Order implementing the muslim ban. The first amendment of the Constitution opposes religous discrimination so when it was challenged in court the Government tried to say it wasn't a ban and it wasn't specifically against muslims. So the lawyers for the opposition read to the court a list of statements from the orange-utan* saying he would introduce a muslim ban. Trump says he will take it further but he's batting 0 for 3 so far.
Comments from people who have seen the EOs that he has signed indicate that they are very amateurish. None of the procedures that would normally have been used have been followed, and they have obviously been written by people with no knowledge or experience of what is required. The wording would be laughable if they weren't so serious.

It may have escaped your notice, but Trump is a US citizen. Although it does appear his wife was an illegal immigrant.
Trump swore an oath, "I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."
Trump disagrees with you, he said repeatedly that he would have a muslim ban. A Federal Court and an Appeals Court have decided his EO banning immigration from seven countries he had no business ties with, but from which no citizen had ever committed a terrorist attack in the USA, was in fact the muslim ban of which he spoke.

I was wondering if y’all had heard of Milo Yiannopoulos?
His Wikipedia bio starts out - “Milo Yiannopoulos is a British journalist, author, entrepreneur, public speaker, and senior editor for Breitbart News, a far-right news and opinion website based in the United States.”
Milo pretty much hates women, feminists, transexuals, and a whole host of other people probably including muslims and Mexicans. His mother was a Jewish Greek but he is British. He is also out and proud. He first came to my notice by the singular accomplishment of being banned by Twitter. To get banned from what at times appears to resemble a virtual sewer is really a bit special.
Milo has been actively seeking speaking engagements. There have been “riots” in protest at some of the universities at which he was booked to speak. Milo revels in the attention claiming that he is a champion of free speech. Many people who should have known better supported his free speech claims. He was on the Bill Maher Show last week and the host didn’t exactly cover himself in glory, not challenging much at all of what Milo said.
Milo is tight with Trump’s in-crowd, after all Breitbart is not a big organisation and both Trump’s top advisors also worked there and probably share many of his views. (Pardon me repeatedly calling him Milo but I’d get bloody RSI typing his surname all the time.)
Milo was due to address the Conservative Political Action Conference as key note speaker. Many people were wondering if the CPAC people had lost the plot making him the keynote speaker. He also had a publishing deal with Simon and Schuster for his upcoming book “Dangerous”.
Milo likes to say things that shock, but it seems that he doesn’t know his hosts as well as he thought. You see the Yanks are mostly rather prudish (at least in public). So when Milo during a TV interview expanded on his view that gay men should be permitted to have sex with boys as young as thirteen, the bubble suddenly burst. Bear in mind that the age of consent for heterosexual activity is eighteen in most states. Sex between gay men and thirteen year old boys is waaaay beyond what most Americans could contemplate.
Milo has been branded a paedophile, his keynote address has been cancelled, and his book deal has been cancelled. The disgusting little creep, might as well fuck off back to Britain and we will hopefully hear no more about him. Please pardon my schadenfreude.
