This one could get a bit untidy if Bolton is pissed off. He's smarter than Trump and he's not backward in coming forward.
Trump tweeted that he had fired Bolton, so the TV channels gave that immediate cover. Bolton replied by tweet immediately saying that he had offered his resignation but Trump had said they'd talk about it in the morning. Trump must have changed what's left of his mind.
When Bolton went to the White House people were concerned, since he has been there though he has reportedly talked Trump out of some of his more loony impulses. Now Pompeo is the number one advisor and apparently he believes the rapture is nigh and he could see himself as an instrument of God's will in bringing about the end of the world.
It's not so long ago that the Yanks were saying the Iranian president Ahmadinejad was a threat because he saw himself as an instrument of God's will. Now the boot's on the other foot, but it's no more comfortable.

More like he can claim he fired him then anything he says is, oh that's just because i fired him.
Scarmucci was going on about all those that were being a calming influence are gone
"He takes nobody's counsel. There's nobody in the White House—if you remember his chief of staff [John] Kelly at least had the strength of personality to say 'hey, that's probably not the best thing to do, don't do that.' And so he probably curbed some of the exigencies of his personality."
"I think the guy is losing it, mentally," Scaramucci told the magazine. "He has declining mental faculties; he's becoming more petulant; he's becoming more impetuous. OK, you see just by the way he's sweating, his body's not doing well.
"It's obviously not a guy that takes care of himself, right? And he doesn't listen to anybody. And just think about this, okay? There's no one—there's no Jim Mattis; there's no Gary Cohn; there's no one to check him anymore.
"Whatever my differences were with General John Kelly, after he left, this thing has completely unspooled."
Can you remember anyone who was talked about so negatively by their former staff.
Trump vowed during his presidential campaign that he would only “hire the best people” i

For the last 3 years I have fully supported this President. Recently he has said things that divide the country in a way that is unacceptable. So I didn’t pass the 100% litmus test. Eventually he turns on everyone and soon it will be you and then the entire country.

Clearly, he cannot accuse Bolton of leaking a comment he never made ..

No it doesn't really Fraser it was only ever on three products.
A bit of checking shows in the SA they although they don't use the name its a lot to do with the fact those burgers never contained any porcine products anyway.
So while it changed to partially be more respectful was also to do with correct labeling in a area where this sort of stuff effects both sales and maters culturally to avoid confusion.
They have also put just bacon on their menus which they never had previously this has lost then their Halal status they previously held.
https://www.businessinsider.co.za/burger-king-south-africa-drops-ham-from-hamburger-name-after-halaal-store-change-2019-9
hamburger is by definition made of minced beef and does not contain pork. The "ham" is in reference to the German city of Hamburg, where hamburger patties were supposedly first made.
Burger King knows this, South African chief operating officer Juan Klopper told Business Insider South Africa on Friday, but it still wants to avoid any possible confusion.
"It is just to be super-sensitive to perceptions, and to be super clear," he said.
The chain has had some queries from Muslim customers in the past on the "ham" part of the name, Klopper said, by way of Majlisush Shura Al Islami, the non-profit that certifies Burger King's remaining halaal outlets as being in compliance with Shari'ah law.
So, while the chain was making changes, it decided to drop the word.
As of this month, 44 Burger Kings in South Africa are no longer halaal certified after the chain decided to introduce the line of bacon items that are popular for the brand in many other parts of the world.
The chain has also promised to add vegan and vegetarian items to its menu "in the very near future".

I had a look at some of the links and also checked DuckDuckGo. The word 'hamburger' is quite difficult to find on Burger King sites.
That has probably got very little to do with concern for offending muslim sensibilities though. It's most likely more to to with the name of the company which is 'BURGER KING' so the references are to "burgers". Surprise!
To test this I visited MacDonalds, just the web site not the place. The references are to: Big Mac, MacFeast MacGriddle etc, and again to the generic 'burger'.
It seems we can imminently expect some desperate journalist to write a story about MacDonalds catering to muslim prejudices - and some egg to post it on KB.

So it would seem. The site I looked up didn't mention them at all. Yesterday one of your links took me to a page that only mentioned hamburger in lower case. Today it's an ad for a hamburger. I've never seen them advertised in a BK but then I stop looking at Whopper.

Yep - dialectical difference ... in 'merika 'hamburger' is mince ...
As Pete (with numbers) said. The name Hamburger as we use it comes from the town - and has nothing to do with pigs. Just as Sandwich has nothing to do with sand - it was named for an Earl - the Earl of Sandwich.
Because of the dialect differences 'burger' is probably more internationally known as the bun with meat and vege in it - hence it's use by the international chains such as Maccas .. and as such is is spreading as the most common word .. no matter what the dialect.

Having read this bloody thread again this morning, burgers were front and centre in my mind to the point of distraction. So, it being Tuesday, I paid a visit to said establishment.
My occasional visits usually take place early in the week because it tends to be less busy. Tonight was something of an exception, I had a considerable wait. I filled in the time reading the constantly changing ads. Not once did the dreaded word appear.
If they deleted the word hamburger tomorrow it’s likely nobody would even notice.

“You’re saying that’s what Biden said to the Ukraine,” Cuomo responded to Giuliani’s claim that then-Vice President Biden bribed the Ukrainian president to squash an investigation into Hunter. “Did you ask the Ukraine to investigate Joe Biden?”
“No, actually I didn’t,” Giuliani answered. “I asked Ukraine to investigate the allegations that there was interference in the election of 2016 by the Ukrainians for the benefit of Hillary Clinton.”
“You never asked anything about Hunter Biden, you never asked anything about Joe Biden to the prosecutor?” Cuomo asked, prompting Giuliani to assert that he had only asked why the case into Hunter’s company was dismissed.
“So you did ask Ukraine to look into Joe Biden,” Cuomo shot back.
“Of course I did,” Giuliani exclaimed, causing a befuddled Cuomo to shout: “You just said you didn’t!”

I don't get what Trump is on about with the Hunter Biden business. That was apparently investigated previously, Biden Jr wasn't acting in a personal capacity, he was an employee of a company that was in Ukraine at the time.
Trump is pushing theories about a missing DNC server being in Ukraine that most people consider are just weird. Someone on MSNBC was saying though that if he can sell this pile of crap he will be doing Putin a big favour. Trump is trying to implicate Ukraine in the 2016 election skulduggery to take the heat off Russia so that sanctions would be eased. He is still Putin's catamount.

Trump has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize twice, unfortunately in both instances the nominations were determined to be forgeries. Nobody ever said he was a fast learner.

I think Greta Thunberg would turn it down and tell people to stop wasting their time giving silly awards and just get on with fixing the environmental crisis.
There's almost a million $US attached to a Nobel Peace Prize. Not too many would turn that down, although Obama did give his to charity.
There is also a gold medal which can be sold, one went for 4.7 million at auction. Additionally there is a diploma, and the peace prize used to include a nice glass or ceramic dove. I saw one of those on the Antiques Road Show but don't know if they still do that. If there are multiple winners each get a medal but the money is divided.
Irrelevant but interesting: there is no Nobel prize for mathematics. Apparently Nobel was convinced the leading mathematician of his day was doing the nasty with his (Nobel's) wife. No way he was letting that guy win one of his prizes, so no prize for maths.

You have so little understanding of the timing or of the actual events so I have no idea why you are putting your 2c in?
The DNC server was never physically moved. Seth Rich (who is now conveniently dead killed by the DNC of course) put the data on a usb stick and sent it via Kim Dotcom's megaupload to wikileaks.
In an attempt to cover up this fact the dems attempted to hide the above by roping in a ukranian hacker and pinning the above on him (guccifer 2.0 who is now rotting in a jail in america btw) by quickly sending him the same/similar files that Seth Rich sent to wikileaks. Then they also brought in all sorts of other bullshit trying to connect the Russians to the above.... Its all patently absurd.
The entire thing was so sloppy people within a month tech related people quickly realized the metadata showed the claims by the DNC didnt add up so they have continued to change their narrative again and again in attempts to cover that up.
Its all just totally ridiculous.
And the media is still covering for the dems with all this other bullshit.
And as for Biden and co its just even more ridiculous because everything they are attempting to pin on Trump they did themselves and did without any discretion what so ever (of course because next it was Hillary's turn and nobody thought any of this would ever come out that they couldnt just cover up anyway).
And the true story is way bigger than bidens son:

If you mean reducing our reliance on Fossil Fuels, Better Recycling and coming up with Alternate practical options for Plastics - I'm fully onboard with this.
If you mean the Demented Shrieking from Closet Communists, indoctrinating children declaring that the end is Nigh - then not so much, I'd be more in the Donald Camp.
However, as an interesting thought:
What if... By engaging in a Trade War with China and making their Industrial sector less competitive through artificial means, it brought manufacturing back into the west, thus reducing pollution as a result of having the goods processed in a region that has much stricter environmental controls/laws?
After all, China is the biggest Polluter on the Planet (with multiple hilarious observations to be had)

Donald Trump dies and goes to hell
In 50 years, he comes to the devil and says: “I know I’m going to spend an eternity here.
with Obama the Bush family and the Clintons but I would like to ask you for a favor.
I miss my country, I miss the United States.
Can I go back to Washington DC for 15 minutes? I will go to the nearest bar, drink some beer and have a little chat with the bartender. Then I will return to stay here forever.”
The devil says “Okay, but I will change your body for the time you are there. Nobody would know or believe you are actually Donald Trump”.
“That’s even better!” says the president. And the next moment POOF! He appears next to a bar. He walks in, orders a mug of beer and starts talking to the bartender:
“I have been in a coma for quite a long time. I don’t know what’s going on in the world. How is our country doing?”
“Its very good !” says the bartender happily. “We are doing so well in the world, we no longer have ANY external threats! All political issues have been resolved! Every country is either our loyal ally or is completely controlled !”
“Wait a second” – Trump can’t believe his ears – “What about Syria, Iraq, Libya Lebanon Afghanistan?” all the countries we bombed ?
-Everything is quiet now! they are all conquered !
-Then what about Ukraine? China ? N Korea ? Russia ?
-all also bombed to bits and controlled now!
-I can’t believe this! What about Mexico? Venezuala? Turkey?
The bartender takes a globe from under the desk, spins it around and says proudly: “The whole world is beholding to us. I mean it! Everywhere !”
Donald Trump is completely shocked. He says in amazement:
“I am speechless. I didn’t ever think it was possible by any means. Thank you very much.
Anyways, I got to go now. How much for the beer?”
” we are only allowed small rations of beer and food by President Nutenyahu and israel,
that beer was 350 shekels, comrade!”

None of them address the fundamental problem of production creating the gases they're concerned about and the environmental destruction that goes with it that without doubt leads to a changing climate. Greta touches on it, but the kids, and the kids who came before them who are controlling the narrative for the current kids simply by being kids and spouting the same shite they did in the 60's, but the current kids (the "leaders") have no clue as to why the gases are in the environment in the first place. It's a tragedy of the commons... and then when they do figure out what to do, they have to get it past the general public at large. The threads on here would be amusing though. Hate riddled bullshit that some girl has been bought or some other trite bullshit to hide the fact that her message is actually more important than the symbology of her being put forwards as some form of leader. Really so why has he been the mst admired person in the USA for 11 years
Both before and after his presidency.
Gallup's most admired man and woman poll is an annual poll that Gallup has conducted at the end of most years since 1948. Americans are asked, without prompting, to say what man and woman "living today in any part of the world, do [they] admire most?"The result is published as a top ten list. Most years the most admired man is the sitting President of the United States and the most admired woman is or has been the First Lady of the United States.[
Also how is it you know more than the nobel committee.
Reading this he got the prize as he wasnt a gormless git like your current president.
Awards like these always contain a level of political motivation but to say he got it just because he was black or he became president just because he was black is patently untrue.
He is a far more accomplished and clearly more intelligent person and well rounded person that you or your current president will ever be.

The Norwegian Nobel Committee has decided that the Nobel Peace Prize for 2009 is to be awarded to President Barack Obama for his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples. The Committee has attached special importance to Obama’s vision of and work for a world without nuclear weapons.
Obama has as President created a new climate in international politics. Multilateral diplomacy has regained a central position, with emphasis on the role that the United Nations and other international institutions can play. Dialogue and negotiations are preferred as instruments for resolving even the most difficult international conflicts. The vision of a world free from nuclear arms has powerfully stimulated disarmament and arms control negotiations. Thanks to Obama’s initiative, the USA is now playing a more constructive role in meeting the great climatic challenges the world is confronting. Democracy and human rights are to be strengthened.
Only very rarely has a person to the same extent as Obama captured the world’s attention and given its people hope for a better future. His diplomacy is founded in the concept that those who are to lead the world must do so on the basis of values and attitudes that are shared by the majority of the world’s population.
For 108 years, the Norwegian Nobel Committee has sought to stimulate precisely that international policy and those attitudes for which Obama is now the world’s leading spokesman. The Committee endorses Obama’s appeal that “Now is the time for all of us to take our share of responsibility for a global response to global challenges.”

He also moved to Rotorua.
He also claimed to have owned a RS250 Aprilia.

I'm sorry - there is a civil war in Yemen - with the Saudi's backing one side with the help of the USA which supplies Saudi arms .. There are allegations that Iran supports the Houthi side - however these remain allegations as there is little hard evidence of such support

I'm pretty sure Donald means all of it.
Surely you jest about bringing manufacturing back to the West? Do you think the corporate's will suddenly develop a conscience, or simply transfer manufacturing along to the next cheapest child labor exploiting country?
I'm delighted you have ponied up with Donald, that poor old lightweight arsestinger was getting pretty lonely in here and was in desperate need of some heavyweight assistance :devil2:
A Conscience? Why would you think that?
I trust that they will follow their Profit margin. If you add an artificial cost (to offset the reduced Labour/Compliance costs that exist in the 3rd world) and as generally a free-market capitalist, you've got no idea how much it pains me to say that.
There is one other alternative, as a nation becomes more prosperous, eventually people start to care about things like the Environment and eventually will start to petition the government to enact Legislation to protect it - however, I'm not sure that will work in somewhere like China.
As for Donald - The continued and baseless attacks on him by Elements that cannot fathom or accept that they lost are going to guarantee he gets re-elected. The wider populace outside of New York and California can see that much of the vitriol hurled at him is just straw-grasping, which serves to only reinforce the validity of voting for him in the first place.
Overall, He's mostly kept to his Campaign promises, made a tenuous peace with North Korea and not started any more shooting wars - as far as US presidents go, that puts him ahead of every President for the last 35 years....

The manufacturing that you speak of is mostly unnecessary crap whose only purpose is to make a spreadsheet look better.
And yet, it has a Market.
You can't produce something, with the intent of making ones books look better if no one buys it.
The Unnecessary Crap as you put it, has a value and use to those that buy it, whether or not they should or ought to is another question - but this attempt to repeatedly shift the Blame away from the Consumer is an issue.

So far I haven't seen any reports of evidence of Iranian involvement. The Saudis showed a clip of the drones and said they came from the north but you can't tell by looking at the clip what direction the drones were travelling, or if indeed they were even the drones in question.
It seems the only "evidence" consists of the fact that both the Houthis and Iran are Shiite.
Strangely in this war the Yanks find themselves on the same side as Al Qaeda. Al Qaeda being Wahhabi or Sunni, are allied with the Saudis against the rebels. That's too big a mental leap for the Yanks though. There was a special forces op against Al Qaeda early in the Trump presidency which turned into a clusterfuck. One of the SEALs and a child were killed. This was complicated somewhat by the fact that the child was an American citizen.

One of those I'll entertain: Designed Obselessence is an interesting one - people love to wax lyrical about well-designed machines that lasted a lifetime. How the need to keep producing is a huge economic drain on resources etc.
Especially the Environmental types. What they are curiously silent on is how horrendously inefficient some of those old designs are. It's a curious twist of fate that by designing an appliance to have a finite lifespan, recycling them, it does a good job of making sure that old and power-hungry appliances are removed from circulation.
The good thing is that the consumer is becoming more aware of the non sustainable open ended consumerism.

Nevermind the fact that most of the people who are supposedly 'in charge' got there by being successful - by doing things that people wanted, by innovating - let's just leave that part out and blame 'the other'
Our lifestyle which exists at the expense of others is going to change and it is going to be an interesting ride.
Define 'at the expense of others' - for all it's ills (and there are a metric fuck-tonne) the industrialisation of China (for example) has lifted huge swathes of the population out of a brutal subsistence lifestyle.
I feel the need to repeat that China (and other economies, like India) have massive labor and regulatory issues and I'm not trying to make light of them - the advancement does come at a cost, but it IS advancement - You only have to look back 50-60 years to see when China was starving to death.
Also, fuck trump and his america first, fuck everyone else, oppressive terrorist bullshit. Prick needs assasinating.

Proof of that allegation?
Especially as last year Saudi Arabia reportedly shot down 100 drones fired from the Houthis held territory in Yemen .. why now suddenly, is a drone strike blamed on Iran?
And yes they are majority Islamic. Again I fail to see the problem.
Lots of variants of Islam - the biggest division being Sunni and Shi'ite - ... Yes, Iran is Shi'ite as is most of Yemen (Saudi Arabia is Wahhabist - the same as Al Qaeda and ISIS .. ) ... but Iran follows the 12-Imam version while Yemen is Zaydi ..
The various branches do not like each other - and fight internally - much like Christianity ...
But the conflict in Yemen is an internal one - about politics and nothing to do with Islam ..

Oh, I agree, China had to be reigned in, their intellectual property theft alone is shocking. But the Bull in a China approach was not the best approach imo. To my observation Trump does not place much thought or analysis into much of anything he does. Not the best approach for a person of his position.
Not many mentioned Hillary, the few that did just said they plain did not like or trust her. Their focus very much seemed to be on the current situation. I think the majority of the "what about Hilary" Brigade are to be found online. The average American seemed more interested in what is happening to them right now. Trust me, they are noticing the higher prices they are paying in stores thanks to the trade war - and the lower income States like Arkansas feel it especially hard. They know where to place the blame for that.

I agree in part, I've read parts of Trumps book - the Art of the Deal - and in particular he advocates for going in with a large number of demands, most of them spurious, and then 'negotiating' down to the few things he actually wanted.
So his Bull in a China shop (btw - Bonus Pun Points coming your way) is consistent - you go in hard and heavy, get their attention and then negotiate back down to the place you wanted to be.
It seemed to have worked with North Korea - I agree it's a very high-risk strategy, but given he's written about the approach that he takes, I think he places a lot more thought and analysis into it, but deliberately plays it as if he doesn't.
For my PoV, There's too many instances where starts from a position of wild rhetoric/twitter posts in public and then things seem to go his way.
I read the other day about how Mexico was starting to police illegal Migrants going from Mexico to the US. Or the Time when he decided not to retaliate for the shooting down of a US drone.
Not many mentioned Hillary, the few that did just said they plain did not like or trust her. Their focus very much seemed to be on the current situation. I guess it comes down to who they Trust more. The actions of the DNC in wholly embracing the radical left-wing are more likely to ensure another term for Trump. The question for your fellow Arkansans/Arkansawyers is whether or not the higher prices (with the promise of future riches) are worth voting for the DNC.
Trump maybe inflicting short-term (hopefull) pain with the Trade war, but as you said, China needed something done about it, People can and will blame Trump - however in reality, there's about 40 years worth of Presidents who failed to do anything about it.

To my mind, his North Korea thing was a shambles. Wind up some tension banging the war drums. Only to then turn around and give them the credibility and respect they craved. Will they give away their bargaining card (nukes) that got America to the table? Not a bloody chance. So Trump gave them what they wanted for nothing in return. I fail to see any "winning" in that lot.
Don't forget, the trade war has sucked colossal amounts of money out of local economies due to lost business for farming states and then the double whammy of a lot of goods going up in price. I learned that Americans are very, very much focused on image. Many lived in a house that was just about falling down, but had a near new pick up truck, or flash car parked outside. The throw away mentality has to be seen to be believed. I have many mind numbing examples. Like the federal prison up the road that every two years would buy a fleet of new lawn mowers, and push the old ones into a ditch and cover them over - regardless of condition. A town with over 15000 people in a farming community and not one single engineering shop - why? Because they do not fix anything, they throw it away and get a new one - no matter the machinery size or cost. A NZ based farming community that size would easily have 3 to 4 engineering shops. Americans are concerned about here and now and they sure as heck do not want to give up their throwaway lifestyle. They blame Trump for their current pain, and they are not wrong, his policies are hurting them bad. I honestly do not see re-election in his future.

Simply getting to the negotiating table IMO was a Win. And one that he should get credit for (and doesn't get enough).
There are a few things I think you are spot on about - I don't see North Korea abandoning it's Nuclear Ambition anytime soon. At the same time, the possibility of getting the new Kim to at least be neutral and not so hostile, maybe providing North Korea a path back to redemption (I hate that I have to clarify that part of that would involve some massive internal changes).
We'll see, I'm sure they do blame Trump (everyone blames the current Administration for the issues Du Jour), it's whether they think the alternative will be any better - However much money they may be loosing to the Trade War, it'd likely be much worse under the 'socialist Green new Deal' of the type championed by the AOCs of this world.

You are definitely a master of the wrong take. Kim Jong Un had wanted international recognition, the previous presidents refused to give it to him. Trump gave him all the trappings of an international statesman and got nothing in return. Intelligence suggests the DPRK continues its nuke programme unabated.
He is a crap deal maker. When his publisher was asked how much of "The Art Of The Deal" Trump had written, the reply was,
"He didn't even write us a Christmas card."
Trump doesn't read, his general knowledge is very poor, as is his vocabulary. As the consequences of his 'high crimes and misdemeanours' close in, his mental condition is going to deteriorate markedly and for someone in his condition to have access to the nuclear codes is a worry.

If you don't talk to North Korea, eventually you'll have to go to war with them. Sweeping a problem under the carpet and ignoring it hasn't served any President well since the 1950s.
He is a crap deal maker. When his publisher was asked how much of "The Art OF The Deal" Trump had written, the reply was,

It baffles me that you can say he's a Crap Deal Maker - regardless of his Politics or your personal feelings on the matter, anyone who has reached the heights of business that he has, initial start-up loans or not, Bankruptcies or not, Must empirically be good at Deal Making, regardless of whether he wrote the book or not. I don't know if Trump does or doesn't read, and yes - his manner of speaking is 'Unique', he's certainly not an Orator of the kind like JRM or Boris Johnson. His manner is 'plain' and yet, for him, it seems to work.
As for the Nuclear Codes - I again bring up his refusal to issue a retaliation strike for the US drone. I'm about 75% sure that all the US presidents in my living memory would have initiated some form of Military action for that. What does that say about Trump?

Someone's posting about trumps accomplishments also forgot that North Korea and South Koreaswere having negotiations well before trump got involved.
In May 2017 Moon Jae-in was elected President of South Korea with a promise to return to the Sunshine Policy. In his New Year address for 2018, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un proposed sending a delegation to the upcoming Winter Olympics in South Korea. The Seoul–Pyongyang hotline was reopened after almost two years. At the Winter Olympics, North and South Korea marched together in the opening ceremony and fielded a united women's ice hockey team.] As well as the athletes, North Korea sent an unprecedented high-level delegation, headed by Kim Yo-jong, sister of Kim Jong-un, and President Kim Yong-nam, and including performers like the Samjiyon Orchestra. A North Korean art troupe also performed in two separate South Korean cities, including Seoul, in honor of the Olympic games as well. The North Korean ship which carried the art troupe, Man Gyong Bong 92, was also the first North Korean ship to arrive in South Korea since 2002.The delegation passed on an invitation to President Moon to visit North Korea.
Following the Olympics, authorities of the two countries raised the possibility that they could host the 2021 Asian Winter Games together. On 1 April, South Korean K-pop stars performed a concert in Pyongyang entitled "Spring is Coming", which was attended by Kim Jong-un and his wife. The K-pop stars were part of a 160-member South Korean art troupe which performed in North Korea in early April 2018.It also marked the first time since 2005 that any South Korean artist performed in North Korea. Meanwhile, propaganda broadcasts stopped on both sides.
Kim and Moon shake hands in greeting at the demarcation line.
On 27 April, a summit took place between Moon and Kim in the South Korean zone of the Joint Security Area. It was the first time since the Korean War that a North Korean leader had entered South Korean territory.North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and South Korea's President Moon Jae-in met at the line that divides Korea. The summit ended with both countries pledging to work towards complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula. They also vowed to declare an official end to the Korean War within a year. As part of the Panmunjom Declaration which was signed by leaders of both countries, both sides also called for the end of longstanding military activities in the region of the Korean border and a reunification of Korea. Also, the leaders agreed to work together to connect and modernise their railways.
On 5 May, North Korea adjusted its time zone to match the South's. In May, South Korea began removing propaganda loudspeakers from the border area in line with the Panmunjom Declaration.
Moon and Kim met a second time on 26 May to discuss Kim's upcoming summit with Trump

Further on the Ukraine "whistleblower":
-“Disclosure of Urgent Concern” form may have been doctored, post factum, concerning the acceptance of 2nd hand information."
-"If you go into properties of the .pdf file of the form, it shows it was created on Sept 24, 2019. It also shows it was then modified on Sept 25th, 2019.
They tried to backdate it to August when the "whistleblower" submitted his complaint but the actual change in policy to allow hearsay was actually changed on Sept 24,2019 which was right after lawyers revealed the "whistleblower" cannot claim whistleblower protection because the law does not allow for hearsay. After that was being reported someone rushed in on 9/24/2019 and created a new form to allow hearsay then on 9/25/2019 they went back and modified the form to change the revision date to Rev: AUG 2019 which is not the proper format for the date.

For those of you who may not know, Jacob Wohl and his mate are a couple of incompetent fuckwits. They are currently offering fifty thousand dollars for the identity of the whistle blower, although they might be able to scrape up fifty bucks between them. Last I heard Jacob Wohl was facing felony charges relating to his financial dealings.
Google his name, he's a laugh a minute.
These two previously announced a press conference, they had a witness to accuse Robert Mueller (he of the report) of sexual assault. Some press turned up but their accuser didn't. That's pretty much par for the course.
This is their latest. They are trying to bring down Democratic presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren by producing a 24 yo body building Marine who has allegedly been having an affair with the seventy year old Warren. The reaction so far is not quite what they might have expected. Rather than arousing disgust, it seems this would make Warren the envy of women everywhere.

Now your plastering fake news all over the board again....
What the whistleblower did was treasonous because its all obviously politically motivated. If this person had a genuine case against Trump that actually held water then fine but he doesnt what the whistleblower has done is actually outright treason and I cant wait until Trump and co expose who it was because that person is going to be in the shit big time especially so after shifty schiff went to congress and made up stories about what Trump said.
How did Schiff manage to get in contact with this "whistleblower" before everyone else?
Did you know that what Schiff did is illegal on multiple levels? Not only did he bullshit his way through what Trump said but congress has rules against keeping whistleblower material to yourself. All of the intelligence committee in congress has to be informed on these matters and shifty Schiff did not to that.
Trump is rightly calling it treasonous and it is.

Unlike Trump I have read the US law of treason. In the US the law of treason only applies in time of war. The US is not currently at war with any of the relevant countries. Therefore nobody, including Trump himself, can be charged with treason.
The whistleblower acted lawfully, multiple federal prosecutors and former prosecutors have complimented his letter.

https://play.stuff.co.nz/details/_6091486330001
I don't disagree it's tenuous, I'm not so naive to think one meeting will turn back decades of iron-fisted tyranny - but the fact they are talking (considering all previous interactions with North Korea) is a big first step.
It could amount to nothing - oh well, we tried, we failed, time to try something else.
It could amount to something Bad - Not much different from the previous trajectory that NK was on.
It could amount to something good - Huzzah!
Or perhaps to put it a different way - If Obama had managed to have the first talk with North Korea - the Media would be shlurping his Dong as if it was the fountain of Youth and Knowledge, whilst simultaneously huffing his farts and declaring them to be the most aromatically pleasing thing that they had ever whiffed.

Nothing to ponder there. Trump tweeted today that he was entitled to run an investigation. Bollocks! The Federal Bureau of Investigation exists for that, the hint is in the name. What he did, and continues to do, is an impeachable offence.
There was some light relief today though. I'll get to it later.

Congressman McCarthy, leader of the Republicans in the US House of Representatives, sent a letter to Nancy Pelosi asking that she hold a vote on the impeachment inquiry into Trump's alleged bribery of the President of Ukraine.
This is the text of her reply:

The Honorable Kevin McCarthy
Republican Leader
H-204, The Capitol
Washington, D.C. 20515
Dear Leader McCarthy,
As Members of Congress, we take a solemn oath to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic.
The existing rules of the House provide House Committees with full authority to conduct investigations for all matters under their jurisdiction, including impeachment investigations. There is no requirement under the Constitution, under House Rules, or House precedent that the whole House vote before proceeding with an impeachment inquiry.
As you know, our Founders were specifically intent on ensuring that foreign entities did not undermine the integrity of our elections. I received your letter this morning shortly after the world witnessed President Trump on national television asking yet another foreign power to interfere in the upcoming 2020 elections. We hope you and other Republicans share our commitment to following the facts, upholding the Constitution, protecting our national security, and defending the integrity of our elections at such a serious moment in our nation’s history.
best regards,
NANCY PELOSI

'Southpark' summed it up, "You only ever get choice between a giant douche and a turd sandwich."
Husaberg,
IIRC that trump quote came in the aftermath of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Florida. It transpired that there was an armed cop on duty but he had not entered the building. In fact when the neighbouring police force arrived they were incredulous that none of the sheriffs deputies on the scene by then had yet entered the building.
Trump, a five time draft dodger, famous for having heel spurs, and who hasn't run anywhere in decades, said he would run in to confront the gunman even if he was unarmed.
Strangely, I can only imagine him charging anywhere in a golf cart, but definitely not toward danger.

This morning there are comments that he will have done it on Putin's instructions. And here you are posting the first approving article I've seen, and it's Russia Today. What a coincidence.
Should you think my use of the word 'insanity' inappropriate, consider this Trump tweet from this morning:

Its not a terrible decision imo as if Turkey does anything then Trump can paint them as the bad guys and im all for that.
And what cracks me up even further to you two's reaction to this is: “This does not constitute a withdrawal from Syria. We’re talking about a small number of troops that will move to other bases within Syria,” the official noted, citing 50-100 troops in the region.

Its all just further proof of why Turkey should of never been admitted into NATO.
They tell us in the west one thing but when you look into them they just constantly stabbing us in the back. They were buying ISIS oil off them when isis controlled those areas and helping them hop the border in and out of turkey to avoid the kurds/US/syrians killing them. They also were quite happy to let all the "refugees" fvck europe up among other things.
Now they clearly want all their pet terrorists back that the kurds have stored away in prisons.
That all said Trump has done a deal with the Turks I would imagine as long as they dont go completely crazy and start killing everyone he wont give much of a crap what they do as Iran is the bigger issue for Trump.
The Russia/Iran/Assad alliance has won the war in Syria. Saudi and the USA will now just try to minimize the damage. But imo the damage was done long ago because of the failed wars in Iraq and Afghanistan Iran now has a strong foothold in both countries and Syria now as well.
Trump is right the last near 20 years of wars in the middle east have been a geopolitical disaster.

This Middle Eastern (and US) politics is all so confusing for my old
brain. Especially this latest Turkish foray into eastern Syria (or into
"Syrian Kurdistan" for want of a clearer label).
1. Clear Messages
First, Don gives Erdogan a "message" that if he does something that
he (Trump) doesn't like, he (Trump) will "wreak destruction upon the
Turkish economy" if Turkey goes "off limits" :
https://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-49966216
So, what does "off limits" mean ?
Does it mean "defeat the YPG", or "kill scores of Kurdish civilians"
(in Syria) ?
or does it possibly mean:
Close airbases used by the US (like Incirclik) in Turkey ? Tell the
US to take their nuclear weapons home ?
I appreciate that it's hard to make all things crystal clear in 140
characters, but sometimes I wish Don would make the effort.
Perhaps two tweets next time ?
2. Allies and Alliances
Next, if he (Trump) is concerned about the Kurds, what's with this
business about "getting US forces out of harm's way", and "scuttling
across the border from Syrian Kurdistan to Iraqi Kurdistan" ?
https://southfront.org/dozens-of-u-s-service-members-withdrew-from-northeast-syria-sana/
I mean, how does this work ?
You (supposedly) use the Syrian Kurds to "fight your ISIS battles".
But then when the Turks threaten to attack them (Syrian Kurds),
you (the US) first refuse to help defend them, and then second,
your forces "retreat" to Iraqi Kurdistan ?
Are the Syrian Kurds not getting a "rough deal" ?
Are the "Iraqi Kurds" not brothers-in-arms with the "Syrian Kurds" ?
Surely the Iraqi government (or what passes for it these days) has
something to say on this action by the US ?
The BBC published an article on "the Kurds" earlier, and I thought
that I was slowly starting to get an understanding:
https://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-29702440
But now I'm just confused again.
I just wish the US administration would paint a "clearer picture"
on what and who they stand for (in eastern Syria, at least).
Maybe I've just been looking at the "wrong picture ?

Trump had a phone call with Erdogan. Then this happened. Thats why I say they've done a deal. The MSM will hyperventilate their projected outrage and you will play along like you always do.... because "orange man bad".
Acting like anyone is innocent in a war is kinda absurd BTW.
As I said before the Kurds for the most part are a hard left based group. The US only backed them to stop ISIS and keep a foothold in Syria if the conditions changed enough for a full on intervention which it didnt. That is done (probably for now until the next iteration inevitably springs up).. If the Kurds wanted to be backed long term perhaps they shouldnt be such ardent leftist's they even had ANTIFA turds over there helping them who were even claiming they would go back to the USA with their "training" and wreck havoc.
Innocent my ass.
Its time for people in the west to wake up. The time of communist/hard socialist groups dictating to everyone what they can say and do is coming to an end.
Look at the recent happenings with the Houston Rockets owner and his complete and utter blunder in taking the knee for China's money. That entire thing is a total disgrace and the majority of americans are totally disgusted and sick and tired of US owned companies cow towing to china or similar for $$$$. Sure they are just being typical capitalists but that shit has to stop it wouldn't of flown during the cold war with Russia and it shouldnt fly now. There are plenty of dead US soldiers bodies in the ground that fought for this stuff just for one generation of halfwits to throw it all away.
People in NZ need to take a hard look at themselves to as we cowtow to China far to much as well.
Times are changing and it's well overdue.

Its simple (kind of) the entire Syria war was a proxy war over gas pipelines to europe. We have Assad/Russia/Iran as one group and the USA/Kurds/Saudi Arabia backing the other pipeline route. Then we have the likes of Turkey and the Israeli's (just backing whoever fitted their interests the best in many cases ISIS)... While pretending to back the US and co.
The USA backing the Kurds was entirely to this aim. Now that the other side have clearly won this war the americans see it as nothing more than a money pit and are rightly getting out of it.

A May 2017 study conducted by Harvard University's Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy examined coverage of U. S. President and businessman Donald Trump's first 100 days in office by all major mainstream media outlets and broadcast networks including CNN, HLN, Fox News Channel, MSNBC, NBC, ABC and CBS.It found that, altogether, Trump received 80% negative coverage from the media, and that he received the least negative coverage on Fox – 52% negative and 48% positive
Bill Sammon e-mail
In December 2010, Media Matters for America released a leaked October 2009 e-mail between Fox News Washington managing editor Bill Sammon and the network's senior producers, which seemed to issue directives slanting Fox News' coverage of President Barack Obama's health care reform efforts. In the e-mail, Sammon instructed producers to not use the phrase "public option" when discussing a key measure of President Obama's reform bill, and instead use the terms "government option" or "government-run health insurance[,]" noting negative connotations; Sammon also suggested that the qualifier "so-called" be said before any proper mention of the public option. Another e-mail by Fox News senior vice president Michael Clemente accepted Sammon's conditions. Critics claimed that Sammon took advice from Republican pollster Frank Luntz, who appeared on Hannity shortly before the e-mail was written and made the same suggestions in identifying the public option. Critics also noticed that reporters and panelists on Special Report with Bret Baier used the term "public option" before the e-mail was sent, but used the term "government option" immediately afterwards. Sammon, in an interview with Howard Kurtz for The Daily Beast, defended the directive and denied he was trying to skew Fox News' coverage.
Later that month, Media Matters released an e-mail by Sammon from December 2009, in which he pressured Fox News reporters to assert that "theories are based upon data that critics have called into question" in light of the Climatic Research Unit email controversy
Two days after the 2006 election, The Huffington Post reported that its news department had acquired a copy of a leaked internal memo from Moody that recommended the following: "... [L]et's be on the lookout for any statements from the Iraqi insurgents, who must be thrilled at the prospect of a Dem-controlled congress." Within hours of the memo's publication, Fox News Channel anchor Martha McCallum, went on-air on the program The Live Desk with reports of Iraqi insurgents cheering the firing of Donald Rumsfeld and the results of the 2006 congressional election
ox News Channel executives exert a degree of editorial control over the content of the network's daily reporting. The channel's Vice President of News, John Moody, controls content by writing memos to the news department staff. In the documentary Outfoxed, former Fox News employees talk about the inner workings of the channel. In memos from the documentary, Moody instructs employees how to approach particular stories and on what stories to approach. Critics of Fox News claim that the instructions on many of the memos indicate a conservative bias. The Washington Post quoted Larry Johnson, a former part-time Fox News commentator, describing the Moody memos as "talking points instructing us what the themes are supposed to be, and God help you if you stray."[83]
Former Fox News producer Charlie Reina explained, "The roots of Fox News Channel's day-to-day on-air bias are actual and direct. They come in the form of an executive memo distributed electronically each morning, addressing what stories will be covered and, often, suggesting how they should be covered. To the newsroom personnel responsible for the channel's daytime programming, The Memo is the Bible. If, on any given day, you notice that the Fox anchors seem to be trying to drive a particular point home, you can bet The Memo is behind it."
Photocopied memos from John Moody instructed the network's on-air anchors and reporters to use positive language when discussing pro-life viewpoints, the Iraq War, and tax cuts, as well as requesting that the Abu Ghraib prisoner abuse scandal be put in context with the other violence in the area. Such memos were reproduced for the film Outfoxed, which included Moody quotes such as, "The soldiers [seen on FNC in Iraq] in the foreground should be identified as 'sharpshooters,' not 'snipers,' which carries a negative connotation."

Part Trolling for sure, I like that Trump has lit fires in many places - When I look at US Politics, like many places - there are a good number of people who are far too comfortable. The amount of Nepotism is too high for my liking and a bit too blatant.
I also like that he's anathema to the Radical Left, and causes them to wail and Gnash their teeth, frothing at the mouth.
But in seriousness - I'm prepared to accept that Trump is being foolish (All Politicians are never exempt from that) - but I was reading today (as an example) that due to Trump's threats to Mexico, they've upped the Border security on their side - and have increased their capture rates of attempted illegal immigrants by 50+% - so I look at that and think:
Do you remember his rhetorhic 'We're gonna build a wall and Mexico's gonna pay for it!' - Remember how he was ridiculed for the statement and how the Mexican President adamantly denied they do any such thing?
What has happened recently, although isn't Mexico building a wall, isn't a million miles away from his statement either. And it's things like this, that from my perspective keep happening. That he starts full of bluster and grandiose claims, only to dial it back to what was needed.
Or the story about Nuking a Hurricane, only to have a leaky Staffer dismissed. It could be luck, it could be skill, it could be something else.

Wow, you struggle to even use the quote system correctly.
You make the mistake of thinking I'm in your world of only seeing things solely as left or right based politics (of which the lines are constantly shifting btw). I'm not. If a right leaning president was elected that was competent, not corrupt and doing good for his country, rather than pandering to the rich and looking after his own interests I would be cheering from the sidelines. Instead we have a corrupt lying orange turd who will say absolutely anything be it true or not. Lines his own pockets, puts people in charge of important stuff that have no experience other than campaign donations, fuck the list of BULLSHIT is endless with this guy. My problem is that a man of his ethics and IQ has no place having that job. It has nothing to do with being left or right. It is idiots of the same ilk as yourself that have been brainwashed and swallow his shit like it is chocolate flavored bacon - that put this piece of inhumane shit into power. But not for much longer.
As I mentioned, if Jacinda (Who has deeply disappointed me btw) did even 10% of what Trump has done, you would be stringing up the noose. And I'm sure at some level, you probably know that.
Life is more complex than just left and right sport.
All you far right and far left extremists are a corrupt politicians wet dream. While you all sit around in your self congratulating circle jerks - boasting about how smart you all are, you are just doing the bidding of corrupt fucks that do not care a flying shit about you or your circumstances. Just as long as the low IQ types keep peddling their misinformation directives, they are happy.

I guess in the current shifting sands of the political ideology desert I lean slightly to the left of center, I view the two extremes of each camp as being as bad as each other.
Sure he has lit a lot of fires, many are out of their comfort zones, but if the fire could well lead to civil war if he does not go quietly in 2020. When does a bit of fun turn into a lot of death?
I have long felt that the kinds of people that seek power (pollies of most permutations) are not the right people to have power. This makes democracy problematic. Do I have a better solution? No, wish I did. Some of my kids are so disillusioned with the World, they do not want to raise families in it - and that is fucking sad.
I do feel it is a extremely long bow to draw comparing Mexico with having tightened their borders (as positive as that is) to paying for the wall - that incidentally has made very little progress since he has been in power - just saying.

There was one Arthur C Clarke story I read where (just a side plot, not the main theme) anyone who wants to be President is locked up as a criminal, and instead "the computer" randomly picks a citizen to be one for a term.

If there was a Civil war tomorrow - what would be the instigating factor?
For the UK - it would be the failure (and opposition) of the government to deliver Brexit.
For NZ - it would be pissing on the rights of law-abiding Citizens.
For the US - The only thing that springs to mind would be instigation from the likes of ANTIFA.
None of which I don't think can be ascribed to Trump, or the rise in (supposedly) Right-wing populism. If anything, the rise is as a reaction to the Post-Modern assault on everything to do with the West.
FWIW - on a Political Test - I, too, am ever so slightly left-of-centre. The only reason I appear Right-wing these days is because of just how far Left the Left has gone.
I have long felt that the kinds of people that seek power (pollies of most permutations) are not the right people to have power. This makes democracy problematic. Do I have a better solution? No, wish I did. Some of my kids are so disillusioned with the World, they do not want to raise families in it - and that is fucking sad.
I partially agree with the first part - mainly because it's so very difficult to differentiate those who want Power to be a force for good in the world vs those who want Power to be a force of Tyranny.
On the second part, however, this links into my comment about post-modern philosophy - the current 'Climate Crisis' is just another extension of this - the Educational institutes have long been on the Left, the number of Marxist Academics borders on Shameful - and what we see is Children being taught this defeatist, misanthropic worldview, which gives them a warped perspective.
However (without knowing how old your Children are) Nature tends to do very well when it comes to that Fight.
I do feel it is a extremely long bow to draw comparing Mexico with having tightened their borders (as positive as that is) to paying for the wall - that incidentally has made very little progress since he has been in power - just saying.
Extremely Long Bow? I agree it's a bit of a stretch, however - look at his other public comments - he's long claimed that he was fed-up with America footing the Bill for everything. Low and Behold, he gets Mexico to start looking after it's part to play with Illegal Immigration.
We also have to put this in context - his ultimate goal is stop drastically reduce illegal Immigration to the US, as such, anything that aids that Goal (Wall, Federales etc.) that he has been a causal factor in, is a success.
I hate to repeat myself, but so-far, his lack of starting any additional wars put's him way ahead of every president that springs to mind since the early 1980s

That is solid gold. Doesn't much matter which party or which country, politicians are generally of a type. There are exceptions and Trump is one such. He has a number of diagnosable mental conditions, is extremely ignorant, and is totally unfit to hold office.

FOX News channel is divided into news staff and opinion hosts. The former have always retained some semblance of impartiallity however weak. The opinion people Hannity, Ingraham, Carlson, Dodd and all, not so much. Total fantasy is more their thing.
Recently Bill Barr, Trumps AG, sought and got a meeting with Murdoch the owner of Fox. Shortly thereafter Shepard Smith, a reporter with Fox since Day 1, left Fox.
Judging by this effort Neil Cavuto may be next to go.

As project veritas correctly pointed out the difference between FOX and CNN is both teams have their opinion people like Hannity and co the difference is when you watch Hannity you know he's going to put across a conservative view point and be pro Republican and be honest about that fact.
With CNN you have the likes of Don Lemmon, Cuomo, Cooper etc etc all pretending whatever they say is gospill and acting like they arent just propaganda mouth pieces of the DNC. Which project veritas is without a shadow of a doubt about to prove.
CNN just needs to be honest about the fact they've gone full leftist propaganda and stop pretending like they arent.
CNN like the democrats have gone so far left they make Fox look centre right when fox is actually centre left just like every other news org on the planet. Thats the absurdity of the entire thing.
What's even more amusing is the guy recording CNN's CEO is still there!!!

This meme pretty much covers CNN's CEO:

Last Friday, it looked as if a US - China trade deal (of some form)
had nominally been agreed, though several US commentators were
not showing great optimism as to what the US had achieved:

And the post agreement (celebratory) meal looked all but celebratory
(much depending upon which side of the table you were sitting on):

Jack Rasmus gives a good readable summary of the game played up to
current date:

Was it not the Syrian's city to begin with until Obama, McCain and Hillary decided ISIS was a good terrorist group to fund and supply and be their pet army?

Why would he need to go quietly in 2020 if like in 2016 he gets the majority of the vote?
I would think it might be time for the people on the other side to give up the shenanigans at that stage yet here you are talking about civil war?
TDS at its finest right here.
History will flip Trump Derangement Syndrome towards the people that actually believed in Trump. You might want to pre-book some counseling sessions.
Where are those recordings you mentioned? not released? No surprise there.
Looks like Trump is running out of people that are willing to lie for him.
The no quid pro texter coming out to say Trump dictated that text message, the previous Ambassador to Ukraine shining a light into the murky Trump cesspool and finally Bolton about to fuck Trump, and it looks like he is dispensing with the courtesy of using any Vaseline.
Interesting times.

I posted it in the other thread. Theres only two recording's (part 1) been released so far and its pretty damning for your communist mates at CNN.
In a free society it's okay to hold a personal grudge against Donald Trump if you wish. It is NOT OK to wield the entire power of a news media corporation in a vendetta against the duly elected President Of the United States of America.
[Notice the weinstein logo in the background? (and the semi retarded look on his face... His face is as crooked and as ethical as his journalism).... anybody with any intelligence might think this is probably not a good horse to back!] But not old sugilite he's going to ride this horse until it drops dead.

Not least because in addition to a couple of Trump Towers, there are US nukes in Turkey.
According to Russian sources the US left their base in Manbij, Syria, intact. It has now been occupied by Russian mercenaries. Here's hoping the Yanks did a better job of destroying their documents than they did when they left Saigon.

I saw that story the other day and put it to fake news.
Is Turkey really this stupid?
All donald has to do is go ok then we'll just let them go off. Problem solved.
Threatening a nuclear superpower with confiscating their nukes which they still have complete control of on their military base....
And people fall for this shit?
This is 100% russian propaganda because they sure as shit dont want those nukes there.
