Just cleaned it. Got 45,000 km out of the last chain and it was still on the bike when I sold it. Lots of track days and boy rides. So better look after this one to, aye W.

I will have the pack on Stickchick so we can put cloths in it as the days warms up. Let me know where to pick you up cos it will determine the time I leave here. Thanks

It was still cool at 9 this morning as I headed down SH2. Plenty of layers will help the first 2 hours on the road.

twas a great days riding. You guys are always telling me how great your roads are I didn't see the point in coming all the way up there without riding ALL the roads. Hey, if a roads worth doing its worth doing twice.

After I got lost (I thought I was banned from being out in front!) I circled back to the starting point and couldn't find anyone so then ended up following middle road up for a bit. Found a couple on the side of the road that had run out of fuel and were syphoning fuel from one bike to the other. Then I tracked back and went over a random road which was fantastic. Ended up on HW2. Few more going round in circles and found Waipawa and by then had gotten into txt with 86 who was on HW50 so I went down to the HW2/HW50 intersection and waited there for a bit.
Finally regrouped and then had a very hot trip back home following a repsol honda and something else. Really good day out but had the camera in the back of the bike and must have done a few too many twisties cause camera broke. Might see if I can get photos off it later.

You would like it on MSTRS bike. you should be able to see over his shoulder. Maybe no pack rack makes you feel more vulnerable from the back. How was it different cos they are identical bikes but for the colour?

What about a run up the Taihape Road to Otamauri down the back road to Matapiro Road could drop in and see the Mayor of Hastings for a cup of tea. Come back down Matapiro Road back on to the Taihape road back to Fern Hill. The only thing is there could be some metal and might have to check it out. If any one doesn't no its up the Crownthorpe Road. I don't mind sugesting things but if any one dosen't no the Road dont be afraid to ask:sunny:

Yep, if only HDC would get off their chuffs with the road sweeper...tis covered in loose top grit and has been ever since the last stretch was sealed. Worst thing is the grit has been wheel-tracked with liberal crossings of the centre line - not good (but the rest of it is choice).

I got to play my final qualifier in the club champs at golf to morrow morning so I is going to get wet so might give to morrow afternoon a miss. although my wet weather gear has not bin out since before Christmas. Might have to do some wet riding to get insome practice for the track day cos the weather doesnt look to good for that weekend.

Yep, if only HDC would get off their chuffs with the road sweeper...tis covered in loose top grit and has been ever since the last stretch was sealed. Worst thing is the grit has been wheel-tracked with liberal crossings of the centre line - not good (but the rest of it is choice).

Went up there today for a ride, about 5K of dusty gravel as you said, its a short ride but very intersting, lots of cow shit over the road and on some corners, cocky's have been road grazing, but I did enjoy it.:done:

I had a 6yo birthday party to gate crash. There is a nice bit of road in Ormanville/ Flemington area. Ended up going down a gravel no exit road for around 10kms. Bloody excellent vista from the top of looking back towards Wiapuk/Waipawa. Went to the end of it to the homestead then turned around(no choice really). Storm grave the Goose hell on the way back up gravel while I toodled on behind untill we hit the seal again then on to Waipawa, Elsthorpe, Havelock North. Very relaxed pace at about 100-110kph with the odd silly moment ;). I guess you could say Loosy Goosy and the Ugly Duckling went wild.

Rained a good 60% of the ride but got back to Ashurst ok. Then off to assist cowboyz consume a few Woodstocks.

I'm thinking of going for a ride to Palmy tommorrow.
Was going to go to Anza bikes and check on some stuff for the Trumpy. Anyone interested in coming for a ride?
Was thinking of leaving around 11ish, maybe stop somewhere for a munch or brew and aim to be back home late arvo, 4-5.
Have'nt been for a ride for 2 weeks and need a good one.
Depending on weather etc, but I think its meant to be ok.
Might be a good ride for us all tommorrow for the Saturday blast.

But of course, I'm as changable as the weather, so between now and tommorrow, anything can happen.

Okay, folks.
Daylight Saving time is over so our midweek rides are moving to the weekend.
It will be really hard to please everyone, but I'll give it a go.
Rides will take place on Saturday avo, leaving from BP Taradale Rd at 1.30pm.
First ride is this coming Saturday (24 March) - if the weather turns to crap on any Saturday (highly unlikely in HB!), we can move the ride to Sunday.

I believe we will be joined by an Aucklander for our first outing...:innocent:

Same "rules" as for our midweek rides- these rides are suitable for newbies, inexperienced riders and of course, our resident Nana rider/s

Look forward to seeing you all there!

I recon this riding group rocks. It has been fun meeting so many with the same passion.

I recon Micro has the edge with the riding skills but we can only but learn.

Ummm I didn't see the Handy Dandy note book on the weekend. That means you were distracted. I wonder what took your attention away from the job at hand.

See you Saturday. We will sort out Saturday night later in the week.

What this man said about the ride on Saturday. ^^^^^^^^^

Here for my brief report from today
http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/showthread.php?t=47026&page=5

The dinner was a hit with 20 -22 along for the feed. Bloody good food and top company. Then Wasp27 and our lovely ladies started at 5.30am with a cup of tea. Followed by the breakfast made up of Eggs bacon Hashbrowns sausages waffles cereal toast bla bla bla. Then The stranger and R6 headed off to set up by 8.00am We followed and arrived by 8.30. The day consisted of white board and theory followed by practical training. We ended at 4.ish. I think. The weather was so unbelievably warm. In fact by the time we did the emergency braking I had had enough. it showed in the way I attempted to show the crowd how not to do it. Back To Twin City for a coffee and wind up. Then Steam and I went back to Wasp27 and then home.

Both Wasp27 and I are sick tomorrow and we are going to ride with Steam for a few hours so we can recover for work in the avo.

What a weekend. This is the 4th weekend we have pumped out great ride time. It has been a ball and it is so nice to have covered so may K's with such good company. With this weekend and the ride on ANZAC day coupled with our Saturday rides I would like to congratulate the Hawkes Bay and other southern mates for one of the best months on record.

You could plan a ride for us.............. Get out da map and see what you can see............Is your bike on the way? Looking forward to getting you on da road..........

I reckon that if we keep harrassing Colapop I'll get it in no time  Looks like still a couple of weeks away.

Don;t think its a good idea for me to plan it as I have no idea about the roads around here
