Arrr I don’t have Sky sport at the moment. Might have to Google the results
Hell it was hot today. Martin and I got the front fork seal in da GSX-R replaced by 2pm so I came home and got da Mooo. We went to town and ended up at Breakers for a drink. We were surprised with how hot it was in Town.
Hope you all have a good week.
How is DR Girl getting on? I did see you online this Avo DR. Hows the healing?
You got Dans hat chicky?
Thanks Gixxer, for your concern. Also Tony W,Dooly,Big G and Yungatart.Have had quick looks on Kbr but haven't been able to sit at computer (No Laptop) long enough to make a post.Feeling better 3 weeks down the track, broke left leg (Tibia-3 places,Fibula-2 places) and right wrist in 2 places.Quite a bit of metal in leg but not enough to stop me riding again in the future!!!Enjoyed the helicopter ride
from Onga.5 days in hospital, staff couldn't have been better.

Yeah what a trip home indeed. Was a fatal accident, 1 dead, 2 or 3 flown off to hospital in really bad shape and 4 driven by ambulance. Actually pleased we were turned away, dont think that would have been pretty at all.
Thanks Tart & MSTRS for a fab time as usual, loved those roads yesterday, man you are spoiled for choices down there.

Yeah Im pretty fecked too....1163kms over the weekend.
Had to take cover at the Te Pohue pub on the way down, couldn't see to well cos of the rain and mist and foggy visor and sunny's....
How could we ride all that way and with 200mts to go, we loose two???
Enjoyed once again, those fantastic roads on Saturday...the fast group (that was me) left the slow group (the other three) on 55 or just before, to have a wee solo play. Stopped at the Tiko pub for a few pics and smoke, over to Waipawa and out to that other place starting with 'P' where we had cool graze and met up with some of the dodgy dudes form down that way.
Party was great...thanks Tart a MSTRS, and the rest of the HB crew (who are pretty awesome)...:2thumbsup

I regret to inform all concerned that I will be unable to make any rides planned for this weekend
I will be attending a 21st in Motu. For the eductaion of those who do not know, Motu is approximately 55 km from Gisborne off SH2 between Gisborne and Opotiki.
The trip from Gisborne to Opotiki would be an awesome ride (not to mention the Napier to Gisborne leg). We could maybe do Napier - Gisborne - Opotiki -Rotorua - Taupo - Napier over a long weekend? Oh and maybe for those on cruisers split it up over two long weekends

Yeah. Just head directly north from Motu and about 45km later you will emerge at the coast, about 15km from Opotiki.
It's a really neat road. You can tell us what top speed you got up to !!!

From my experiance you should be able to do :
Napier to opotiki 4-5 hours quickish riding (for me)
opotiki to whakatane 1 (if you brake down)
whakatane to roto 45 min (more if you dont have a radar dectector on the rotomas), 1.5 hours to taupo form roto then 1.5 back to napier which should leave some room for back roads.
I have done whakatne to napier via taupo in a shade over 3 hrs without being to silly.

Well I thought I would just flick yous fellas a quick update from the deep south (almost).
Im in Queenstown for work. Sposed to fly in here at 10ish but we couldnt get into ChCh airport for the connectinm flight due to fog. Pilot tried twice to land, circling for half hr at a time waiting for the fog to clear. After an hour flying around took us to Nelson. I then caught a plane to Wellington and then eventually a direct flight to Queenstown. Arrived at 2ish only to find my meeting changed to Alexandra. Hired a rental to then find that they are doing some rock blasting somewhere with traffic let through on the hr for 10 minutes. Missed that window bugger so am sending this from my Hotel back in Queenstown. Back tomorrow night at 8.30pm then Friday night staying at Dooly's and then Saturday ... Taupo wahoo.
Cheers from the deep south

What an awesome day at the track today. Some big buck bikes there.
Lots of crashes, but Dale & I managed to stay upright, despite the Daytona trying to flick me off after a botched downshift!!!
Ran out of brakes, got blue front discs but all good.
Did the last session using mainly the rear brakes, but thats cool, something to work on.
Good to have some decent hp now on the back straight.
Good way to run the bike in.
Brand new R1 under a week old there with all the bling. Sounds like a triple with that new fandangled firing set up it has.

Was good day i reckon. One of the better ones for me anyway.
Yes a very nice R1. I reckon $15000 i reckon of extras and talking to him more to come. and he hasnt even had it a week. The $5500 for exhaust pipes had me walking away shaking my head wondering how i could get Cindy a second job.

Had a really great day today, managed to stay right way up . Had a shit first session, just couldnt get into it and let the track repairs on the apex's psyche me out.
Spoke to one of the riders who show you the lines, followed him around for a while in the second session to get my confidence then had a blast for the rest of the day!
Was a little frustrating at times with the VTR dropping a cylinder under hard breaking into turn one until the next right hander, something that will need resolving. Met plenty of friendly bikers at the meet who were helpful in trying to diagnose the problem and also lend tools.
Thanks Dooly and Tina for the hospitality shown to Karen and I Friday night, and for the ride there and back today Dooly, much appreciated. Was great to see Robertydog come through to watch and offer advice, and yes be our pit biatch . Dooly rode really well and somehow made the Daytona really wide in the corners :Playnice:

Had a really good ride home today from Taupo. But was really thinking about how bad that road is getting. Constantly getting patched up. And the amount of tar coming up after the hot summer. Found the worst to be north of Tarawera. It wouldnt be a road i would not be to confident in the wet in that area.
They are still trying to fix the crap road just north of the summit. Been patched up and resealed so there is loose gravel every where. And also road works between the Rangitaki cafe and the pub, and some work on the side of the road on the plains, as the road is falling away.
Dillons hill is just about no more. They have just about carved that hill out and im guessing that they will be trying to get as much earth works done before the winter rain comes.
