Ha. I reckon that too................
Was a good and dampish haul.. we should have at least gone to the cafe up Yroa
Never mind ( Guna have to change me rear as it not lasted that great-M3 )
May have to go the Pilot 2s as per Doolys instructions to get a bit of mileage
Went down Norsewood way late a.m. for nice DRY ride today and back at 5ish
Good road saw 2 jappas headen sth 2 Onga and shot past a Trump Speedmaster ? 2up heading back home 2 Tiko ( nice arse on the back bit )
And to those that thought they were looking 2 the Sun yesterday arvo - twas the firkin Moon !!!
Hope Robbie got over his BUG

I still say it was the sun - but oh well (ha ha) . I have Pilot Road 2 - first time I've used them, and they felt great in the rain - and obviously in the dry they are much better..... It was still a good enjoyable day. We'll have to plan for a dry day next time LOL

[QUOTE=Gixxer 4 ever;1129259800]Purchased a tail tidy from T/Me for the SV. Came off an 06 and will go on yours. Tui. Stripped the SV and found it wouldn’t fit. Put the SV back together. Finished it by 11. Got the gear on and waited to hear you all go past. Didn’t hear nothing so headed up the road. Hit the hill and the rain started pissin down so went home and worked on the boys bucket with him. Got it up and running so we had a great boys avo.

Sorry we missed you - lots of noisy bikes. Would've been sure you would've heard the rumble go past. Probably bout quarter past by the time we went out.

Never mind - next time - because there will be one!

Anyone wanna go for a rider this Saturday???? Hopefully there will be no rain ...... yeah right!

I'm meant to be staying over at a farm for a mid winter Xmas pissup thingy with the wife and her horsey mates up the Wairoa Rd, Aropauanui rd??, just past Devil's elbow on Saturday night.
I was planning on going up on the bike via Wairoa, Cafe 287 leaving about 12ish, whatever, Napier, not to get to the farm too early on way back or I'll be roped in to helping cooking etc.......

But yesterday a big iron bar fell on my head giving me a concussion, so unless the head aches stop by then, I'll be in the car.
But I'm thinking fuckit anyway, I'm going by bike if I'm reasonably ok, so that's my plan.........Wairoa.
But I'm flexible on time leaving ish.

Yea I hope so to. It was a very cold wind that I rode into yesterday. A real freezer off the snow. Just got colder as I went south. When I got to Fielding it wasn’t to bad and the rest of the day was nice over there. However the cemetery we went to was on a hill out in the sticks and I was the only one warm. Go the bike rider. Was tempted to put y helmet on but thought the better of it and left the wooly hat on. Cold ride home after dark last night but with the wind at my back it was better than the ride down.
List of clothes I had on to stay warm.
Thick wooly sox in riding boots and P/ props under leather pants. P/prop under thick shirt with very thick shearing singlet with warm wool jersey leather jacket and thick waist coat. Balaclava tucked in to waist coat collar. Very thick winter gloves. They are the bom and are the best I have ever worn. All the leathers are freshly waxed. Don’t under estimate how much cold the wax keeps out.

Was I warm? For the first half it was good but the cold got in to the legs the further South I went. So if you have it to keep warm on Sunday best you wear it. <_<

Yes just stick with da dog and you will be fine .... :shifty:

Was actually a Toyota Hiace, still Jap tho.
Feeling a bit sleepy and woosy today, might piss off and go home.

Good to be all rugged up in that weather on a bike eh.
I usually wear 3 thermals, t shirt, jersey, then leather jacket.

Heading up to Taupo this a.m. it was minus ( - ) 11 at the top of the Runanga Deviation jus before and past the Waipunga Falls ( so the outside temp sensor stated on the truck )
we watched it plummet steadily from Te Haroto where it was - 3
All the same you could have rode over as there was no evident ICE but there was a freakin good Frost
Road through to Pyes Pa from Rotorua to Tauranga was closed and heard on radio there was Black Ice - so we had to detour up Te Puke and thru
Thems the breaks I guess

Its as you say G, the Wide Angle Lens doesn't produce quite as sharp an image as the standard lens behind the acute angle of your Screen... but still much clearer than before. I think mounting it outside the fairing as we discussed and muffling the microphone somehow to reduce the wind noise will enhance the videos no end:niceone:...BTW thanks heaps for da mittens G.... nice and warm now:msn-wink:..... looking outside :cold::cold:.... Thats all the start grid lines for the cars, Try it in the rain ! , you have to hold a tight line and stay off them till you get the bike straightened up, then it still slides around when you hard on the gas. On the Taupo Road Race Spectacular thread in the racing section Scrivvy has talked to the track people and the proper repairs are suposed to be happining, hope so before i race there again, The synthetic black ice just fucks up all the lines, even the lighter coloured seal on it has less grip. Manfeild has loads of grip, but the track it just 3 drag strips.

Been there a while now. Did a track day in March i think. And they put cones around the slippery stuff coming onto the front straight. That was to keep you out wide and away from it.

It's because the bike is unweighted during the transition from left to right lean, and add cold tyres - it's all over rover. Generally only a problem in the first lap, less so on second lap.

Just got home from Taranaki. Dropped the 2 Triumphs off to Triple Fourensics, the guy who only works on Hinckley Triumphs. Interesting fellow, and very knowledgable. Told me lots of things that go wrong with them......dunno if I wanted to know that!
Sun is shining there:sunny:

Speed Triple is getting a bit of suspension work and a minor Tuneboy ECU setup, while the Daytona is also getting suspension work, plus a major Tuneboy setup with custom performance mapping to eliminate the dead spot under 4000 and more power thru the rev range plus top end. Last one he did like it showed 303kph thru a speed trap he said.......but hey, we all know how accurate our speedos are eh.....<_<, and of course its illegal to go over 100!!

Interesting to check the Tuneboy thingy out, seems far more extensive and better than a Power Commander. Its loaded into your ECU, so theres no need to fit a PC to the bike. Plus you get the disc to load at home on your lappy so you alter fuel/ignition/flow/injector pulses/sensor info, etc, plus reset fault codes, check diagnostics etc etc.
Way more extensive stuff than a PC.
But of course its useless unless you have an idea what you're doing.
Looks ok to me, so no probs in future. (famous last words)

Anyway, enough rambling, think the bill will be extensive too, but who cares, only live once, fuckit, I'm off to the Gold Coast tommorrow at 7.........catch ya round in about 3 weeks for a ride.:done:
