Where do you guys normally go for a ride on the daylight savings rides? Thursday is one of my days off (normally a bike day), so most of the time ill just be getting home when you guys head off.

Same as our Saturday rides - anywhere, everywhere, but we normally end up at a pub and some get a feed...... try to get home before dark (well, sometimes), or by a normal hour still.

Take your motorbike and do it in an hour so you can see the huge tsunami that we have a warning for. And then go on the net and let us all know how much of our shit is going to get wasted in water.

I hope to get some riding done in the weekend, Its a bit hard to do at the mo, No wheels on my bike and my leather is getting repaired. My good old jacket (Natural Wear) I have had for 21years is getting some elbow and shoulder armour and a bit of a tidy up on the stiching. It cost $600 of hard earned apprentice money way back when i had a mullet lol.

Great weather and roads and managed 500k in 7 hours including our numerous stops and the Gin Trap and the visit to the beach :sunny:
A perfect warm up for the GC, just need a fast Buell to chase and I will be fine :lol:

Back for Cuba with Charlie and Horse then finished the day with dinner,rum and irish angels at the Celtic. Perfect and the head is ok today too!!!

Will be up to play again soon and you must bring Carol down and I can return the favour.

Appreciate that you slowed down for my benefit and thanks for not losing me :lol:

I had not long got up (slept in til 11.58) and had stuff to do with the mrs etc so bike only got a clean on saturday and not a ride.

Hi Jason good to see you at Manfeild it was a good day apart from all the ambos. As promised the photo of the ducks one lost a few tail feathers when she crossed the track in during a race. I did not get a photo of the jet sprint track as has been 5 or more years since it was there.

Had a good ride down to Ashurst yesterday stopped for a drink at a cafe' just over the bridge after the Gorge it was realy nice. Heaps of bacon on the road my ear peice was pinging heaps but it didnt pick up the speed camera's two bacon on passing lanes monitering past Dannevirke. Keep off the main drags this weekend.

I was following Yanis, first on the scene, first to him, carried him to the chopper on the stretcher with Grant and the meds, blah, blah, blah.

He just did'nt make the corner, he did'nt ride into a ditch, and it was a real cunty corner, unmarked speed. Could of caught anyone out.

Bike is ok, very minimal damage, landed on thick grass.

Good morning.

I saw this thread’s direction last night as I logged on for the first time in a long time. I started to respond in order to clear things up, but thought that it might just blow over. It hasn’t, but still isn’t a big issue.
The reason Dooly got the ‘impression’ that I didn’t want it broadcast all over the web was because I actually asked if the four with whom I was riding could please keep it close to their chests. And I appreciate them having done so.

There was nothing sinister in my request (in the condition I was in, I hardly could have had time/energy to waste on such games) I can assure you. I merely wanted some privacy and for an event that was already a nightmare, and to avoid any additional unnecessary dramas. It paid off for a short while.

So. Now that ‘it’s out’ I want to thank those four individuals for everything they did for me on that day, and after. You guys went above and beyond and I won’t forget that !!! Stand up guys ! ! ! It was a relief then, and is relieving to know now, that I was riding the ideal group situation with the ideal group. I’d also like to thank those who came to visit and support, including biker partners !!! Thanks mega, I absolutely appreciate your taking time out for me !!! CHEERS

Anyway, I’m alive and happy to be so. The coming weeks will decide what surgery’s/medical interventions will and won’t be necessary and, not unlike anyone else who has had a spill, I will be soaking up the Zzzz’s, sunrays and time in order to get back to my “Fonz” status (Which I think Grant might be looking after for me) and back onto the road.

Been sitting 3 years, so needs a lot of sorting, but got it going ok.
Was all good only lost 1.5 lires of oil from Classic club to home.

Did the loop. Napier, Taupo, desert road to Vineger hill. Over to Ashuhrst, Vegas and up HW50.(where there was oil smoke every where) 570km. Was a good ride but had a gentile reminder how dangerous cars can be when i came across a car vs motorcycle head on.

Haha, The seize in top gear was quite exciting (flat spot on my NEW tyre), and the drive home to get spares and race on the Sunday worked out, Got 2 seconds off my best lap time and then blew the crank:bash:

Not to worry , Its going to be ready for the TRRS 27th/28th Dec, and I'm working on getting my TZR going to and do Pre82 and Pre89

There were 5 of us that came from CHB.. given it was all our first group ride, even better it was a damn good cause - excellent organising & thumbs-up to all that played a part in helping on the day. Hi Jason good to see you at Manfeild it was a good day apart from all the ambos. As promised the photo of the ducks one lost a few tail feathers when she crossed the track in during a race. I did not get a photo of the jet sprint track as has been 5 or more years since it was there.

No I was on the Start/ Finish line, waving the flag. I did see 4 on the Saturday at the Post Classics but did not get any photos. Was there ever a jet sprint track at the Taupo race track?
