The sim is different alright. First corner I parked it in the wall when I went to turn right and the bike turned left. ?????? Was a little confused about what was going on there.....
Got the hang of it and did a 2.25.xx when the lap record was 2.22.73 but I binned it with a couple of corners to go.
Then ManwithaV8 jumped on it and did a 2.22.96 with a massive highside on the back striaght. Pretty sure both of us would have cleaned it up if we had another shot but it wasnt really worth the $10.
What would make it better..
.. Leaning needs to do something
.. Steering needs to be switched over so countersteering works as it should
.. Brake need some feel behind them
.. the bike needs to be able to be leaned lower.
Overall it wasnt bad but not great and certainly not a simulator. More of a good toy really.

that would be paul, and yes, I kinda understand the reasoning behind it but disagree it was the right way to go.
I could build a golf simulator and because golf is quite a hard game to get right and average joe wouldnt do very well on it I might make the controls similar to tiddlywinks.
The sim is ok. But changing the entire way it handles and how to ride a bike simply because its too hard is not giving the average joe any kind of representation on what it is like to ride a superbike. Its just a game, not a simulator. Fun game at that too.

Well I got my bike back from TripleFourensics yesterday and it's like a new bike. I spent most of the day there learning things about my bike, while it was being finished and came away with some handy tips.
It really gets off its arse now, almost too easily, which might explain my $230 infringement notice while overtaking in a passing lane. I knew I was pushing my luck on the main highway, but I couldn't help myself, as it really does go that well. Nice :Police:, biker too, possibly thought I was a little nuts, because I couldn't stop grinning as he was issuing the ticket.:D I'll call it grin factor plus!
I even have brakes now that I don't have to pump, though they are destined to fail within the next 5000km. With luck there'll be a permanent fix on the horizon. Still getting used to these, as I'm finding them twitchy, though they are only working as they should.
Nice little touches to the bike also and it's good to know that Kerry will fix where Ferris has fiddled. Nah not really, although my auto-electrical skills leave a little to be desired.
Overall a fantastic experience and I'm looking forward to going back and spending more money.:2thumbsup That would be a first!
Another first was actually hearing what my bike sounds like at a distance, cause I've always been on it. It's sounds fucken awesome!
I can't wait till my next ride, so I'll probably see you guy's on Friday night! Here's to good weather!

Emergency services were on their way to what I assume was the accident this afternoon when I came through Balance to Pahiatua, I saw a group of bikes going toward Palmy of which one was a Speed Triple along with a Hayabusa, an Aprillia RSV and another bike I did'nt manage to identify.
Not long after A police car came through at pace then Ambo and two fire unit's.
Until I saw the Ambo I thought the Police car might have been giving chase to the bikers but it seems it was much more serious than that.

The MkI I owned was very hot. Dont worry about the Victor below the Cortina, that came later and I didnt have for that long. But the MkI was named 'Iron Maiden', had walnut coloured crushed velvet on the interior roof and door panels and light brown plush pile carpet, very spanking, ok enough about cars....

Brother had a hot Mk one Cortina, very hot! Still have'nt hear a road car that sounds as good as that did on an idle. Used to rev out to 7500 some times 8000rpm so it had quite the appetite for alternators and gearboxes.
I feel just about up for a ride today, might head palmy way.
My 73 then 76 datsun 120Y SSS was reasonably hot as a standard model, rally spec cam and twin 45 dellorto carbs used to slurp the go juice pretty quick, dynoed at 7500rpm and showed 100hp rolling.
Bloody great eh,we started with records, then tapes of same albums then cd and bloody dvd,no wonder musos get rich.
WTF off topic again.

Righto then, time to think about sorting a ride to Wanganui on Boxing day.
We need a meeting place probably in either Palmy and/or Feilding, a route and a meeting and departure time. An idea of who is interested in riding as a group over to Wanga's. I know of one person from the Hawke's Bay crew that has voiced an interest in maybe meeting up along the way too.
Thought's?
BTW, racing is scheduled to begin racing at 11am so I reckon maybe arrive an hour before hand so we can have a squize around the place. If it's hot don't forget hydration and sunscreen.
Im going. Will be a great day out.pick me up on the way past if you like.
Good shit Sarge. I suggest we LEAVE the main BP Feilding at 0900, do Halcombe, Marton, Marton Reserviour, Turakina Valley, Wanga's. That's a great ride to start the day. Either that or straight up the main line which is quicker and we'll see lot's more bikes. And :Police: too if previous BD's are anything to go by. Don't forget shorts or cooler clothes either.
I heard you were riding up with a certain super fast bike so probably wont be able to keep up. Will catch you when I get there...

I'll be heading over too. Got a good ticket through work. Brian will be coming too - not sure what our plans are for leaving etc but this gives us an option. Probably taking the Connie and all me luggage to lock away gear so that the t-shirt's & shorts can be put into action.
Don't forget cameras for the Britten!
