Was right on Al's ass and aiming for the ZX9 when that bike went off on the last run, calling the session early! Price I must pay for going last then trying to carve through traffic I guess. Managed consistent 1.26 lap times on the last session with a top speed of 215kph thanks to Kenny's (Black 675 - Shocking white hair) secret Avgas blend he poured in right before the start. Thanks bro!
Did a safe top speed of 190kph 2 up with Maria on the last of the days runs. Wow was she fun to carry and we had a Blast!!! She was soooo wired after the run, soaked in sweat and grinning from ear to ear, Just like me!

1. Kenny (shocking white hair) and Sarah (HiVis Vest) signing everyone in.
2. Nathan, top bloke, brit army, Sarahs nephew, getting my bike ready while I looked dazed to have even gotten in due to numbers and Sarah and Horse plan a coffee hunt.
3. The fateful first outing where the so called lil D675 passed the others on the opening laps and never looked back. Fun fun fun
4. Coming back in, very happy, before doubling Maria back to the pits.
5.Kenny and Sarah returning after Kenny showed her just how much of a weapon her bike is on the track, even 2up!
Thanks to Maria for the photos!

I had one of the best times I've ever had on a bike that weekend, partly due to the bike, partly the CDMTC's organisation, partly the friends I had around me, but mostly because of the smile on this womans face everytime she was around me or the bike!
1. We maybe mad but we're happy... who wouldn't be, ITS TRACKDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!
2. She had the same grin after we came back in too! Managed 190kph top speed according to the datalogger and a 1.32 lap time with her on the back. Looking forward to pillion trips together now!

I promptly slowed to 30km, went over the rise and saw Mr Plod just over the crest!:Police:

yes, I have the speed bleeder. fucked if I could ever get it to work properly though. I have tried it a few times and keep going back to the true and tried way.
Just finished stripping my brakes and giving them a major clean and overhaul. Made absoutly no difference at all. Go figure. I would like to get them a bit better (read alot) cause that would save a dicussion with trackday scruinteers and WOF insurers. May look at a bigger master cyclinder.

What the hell is a speed bleeder? I only know of the ones that are permanently connected the the calipers.

Bigger should work! Only real difference now between mine and a 675 Daytona is the radial master cylinder.

it is a one way value to let you pump the brakes and air cant get back. connects to the bleed screw but very difficult to get it all hooked up without air leaks.

nothing quite like spending 6 days to put some fairings back on.
Actually, I completely stripped the brakes and cleaned all the pistions and master cylinder and put it all back together. Brakes are a little better than they were but overall disappointing results. Would have gotten just as good results changing the brake fluid TBH.

youd be surprised how much of a no no I get away with. blew the pistons out with an airgun. I dont see anything wrong with it as long as you don pinch the seals. When rekitting it you have to push the pistons past the seals so no real difference. As it turns out the seals are all mint. Yes, replaced the fluid. The brakes do work. There is just alot of travel in the lever and that upsets the more anal.

Tell me about it 2nd last wof on old bike, tester said lever has play, then HE rode and locked wheel up,nearly went over front, said to him new m/c and lines, just the feel as 20 yr bike,he said yep they work ok.But pissed me off at time,I knew they weren't 2 finger brakes, and liked a little play,at least if you grabbed them they worked which the dickhead found out when he nearly fell off.

Cool!:2thumbsup
Speaking of photo's, I've finally reached the digital age and bought a new camera. It hasn't turned up yet, but I've spent the last couple of days reading the .PDF manual.:sweatdrop
I'm not sure I believe what this thing is capable of? According to the manual I should be able to take a picture of a car/bike etc and have it come out a different pre-selected colour. Therefore I could select cowboyz Kwaka and make everyone's bike that colour!
Wouldn't I be popular!
Please, please, not the Daytona

You ask this question because you consider yourself Lower Hawkes Bay?

Strictly speaking this area comes under Tararua, at least electorially anyway, personally I think it should still be southern Hawkes Bay as it once was.
