Wicked, lot of similarities with the nz 'jet' pack man. Almost makes me wish I didn't have a healthy fear of heights! If the control system is as intuitively complex as a motorcycle, and it lives up to the claims, I can really see them taking off! (yeh that pun was good enough for a repeat I think)

I imagine there would be quite a lot of it, not the best way to circumcise oneself
Took the ZZR in it's fist relatively decent trip, 260km all up, it's wet, but, who gives a damn? Ran like clockwork and was very comfy. Suspension is nice too, people say they're soft as hell, but, with my lack of size it feels just right for me.
Quasi gear kept me warm (It looked cold on the track.... didn't even notice)
Bike pulls very well, more grunt than I need for sure. Cruises along very nicely with enough go from 100 in 6th to pass anyone and the head light is the anti-Honda (Of the three hondas I've had, all the head lights were shit)
Brakes seem to lack bite and feel, best brakes I've had yet but they are the weakest link on the bike in my opinion.
It rides well in the wet, but I am a complete nana when it's moist :scooter: and very stable at any speeds.
Absolutely head over heels with it, every set back seems like nothing now.
And it sounds horn too.
Let's just hope the charging problem is fixed  Forgot to look at the voltage gauge as I got up the driveway.

Mine doesn't actually have a Blackbird kit on it per se, (it's 4-1, stock is 4-2). I can only assume the headers are designed for a Blackbird but I don't actually know. When I finally tracked down the code on the can I found it's for an XJR1300, with a 57mm inlet - doesn't look like any of those are 57mm tho.

Nope the Veyron manages 0-300 in 14.8s, which is about the same as a 600cc supersport bike will do 225kph in

Very amazing, did you know top fuel rails/funny cars cannot run the length of an NZ track due to there not being barriers on both sides for the whole length? It's not a safety issue, it's because the amount of pressure from the exhausts is used to steer the car, when the barrier ends, they would lose control.....scary bloody things.
That also means if you did the test on the RC211V they have in that link, you'd get blown off your line and probably crash....
Hmmmmmmm......

I think you'd find it'd be out running an F1 car before then due to the F1's downforce, besides 340 clicks is as near as a F1 car gets unless you remove most of the downforce and gear it up.

I'd say you're right, I think some research may be needed here ;)
Here we go, I'd say you'd be pretty hard pressed to trump that in a Veyron, would run out of gas before it could get ahead (May be some slight exaggeration on my behalf) http://www.bornrich.com/entry/f1-land-speed-record-car-bonneville-400-reaches-bonhams/

Need to balance front tyre, the inner brake pistons on the RHS caliper are getting sticky, so I'll whip it off and clean them up, or just throw one of my spares on.

Quick Skyline. I'd like to see what the company is doing t5o them under the hood though, the standard model would take a very long time to reel a Hardabuser in. I certainly wouldn't turn one down.
Got more riding in today, played with tyre pressures, 41 rear and 36 front feels very nice. :woohoo:

Spent the morning and a small part of the arvo figuring out the optimal tension to adjust my chain to. Well loose sums it up, but now I don't need to worry about disintegrating bearings due to overtight-ness.
Wee blat over the track was goo fun too :D
Also polished up a plastic headlight for use with my HID kit, came up a lot clearer, so if you got older plastic lamps, might be worth a go.

The flatmates and I cleaned the garage. It's actually quite big!
You won't believe it Bogan, but, my tools are sort of where they are meant to be :gob: and there is so much room. I'll have to take a pic, so proud. Plus, there's room to work on the MR2 also.
The Kawasaki decided the driveway was too clean, thankfully I only went inside to make a cup of tea and then came out to find a liter of Motul 5100 spreading over the driveway towards my PilotPowers....

This one was a red T-top too  Faded mirrors, not a bad effort for early 90's Toyota paint, was all in fairly good nick which is strange.
The Gen-3 sorted the interesting and fun snappy traits they had, the gen-5 are an epic fun car to slide around, very controllable and a fair bit more poke.

Both have got pretty good reps as far as reliability go. I think I'd prefer the Transalp for the engine although I hear that they do like the gas. There's a guy who goes on the BRR rides who rides two-up no worries on a Transalp.

It was so crap I went the long way home over the Pahiatua Track and gave the poor Corolla a beating.

It was unnatural to see the saddle like that eh. Bring back the Gorge asap. The dry weather should be stabilising it a bit by now hopefully.......................

I agree.
I never drive/ride the Gorge much, everyone else does and that leaves me alone on the proper roads

Working on the plastic molds right now in fact. Must have looked a bit weird coming in to massey with a big bit of mdf tied to my chest, couple with some rather emotional facial expressions as it was kind of resting on my left nut
