Points count from time of offence, not when paid.I thought I'd check my points to see when they expired, was told May and Oct this year. They expire 2 years after offence not when paid.
They will usually send bailiff or cop to pick up your license, well they did when Janine lost hers 2 years ago,but can't remember if the 3 months is from when they take the license or at ticket time. They need a warrant to remove your license was what bailiff told us,hence the delay to take it rather than when cop does his coms check.
Have a looksie at LTSA website,or phone the licensing dept of police.
Bugger.Three months goes quick after first month, first one draaaaggggs.

There are a few other things as well. If you get 100 or more points in ANY 2 year period they dont drop off.
Yes you can delay it abit by waiting till the last day to pay ticket but they are calculated from offence date. Its 3 month suspension.
We run a report once a week, if you are over then we print the suspension letter, it goes to Auckland to Baycorp as we use their serving officers. Then back down to serving agent here for the person to be served.
They are required to take your licence from you. If they can't find you after trying 3 times, then it comes back to us and a Person of Interest flag goes onto your licence. Only at this stage if a cop pulls you up can they serve you roadside.
As I mentioned to Cowboyz last night it can take at least a month to be served once tickets have been paid, especially as he can delayed for next 2 months before paying.

Cool so many people(me included)get different scenarios from this,i.e if you have 90 points, get another 40(130) in say 18months,you walk for 3 months, but upon getting license back start on 30 points, and these stay till 2 years are up from time of ticket.

$69 a bearing. That's how much an offcial Honda steering head bearing(as in per bearing!) costs! So according to the parts guy at AFC and decided to get a complete aftermarket kit for $79 instead.
So now I have a kit on order and will look at booking in some time this week to get the bearings done. But before I got to AFC I noticed my bikes steering was terrible, as I inspected bike I noticed my back tyre was flat! I thought "fuck me! what did I run over?"
So now I will have both bearings and a puncture repair done together to keep costs down.
So how's has everyone elses day been? :sunny:

hey whats happing on the 30th in dannevirke ,
iv been working around the back roads and have notice some of them have a road closed sign on then for motorsports Targa rally and targa tour.
man im so keen to get this
http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/Cars/Nissan/Fairlady/auction-247400797.htm Don't touch it, they rust like hell in the inner gaurds, they crack the firewall [usually the seam on the drivers side] they handle poorly, they are slow and heavy. With a power steering leak the rack will be worn out as they rely on the power steer fluid as lube, not cheap to re-con :Oi: I would recommend you run, run, run away.
or not as it turn out!, what you really need is an 86 Celica GT, the ST162 is a beautiful shape, bout the same price too :blip::blip::blip::blip: The est162 was a nice little toy, the handled quite well when set up correct, strut braces front and rear and some careful suspension tweaks and nice rubber. Guttless though, only had 117kw many years ago. The main problem apart from rust around the boot and windscreen was if the wrong oil is used [other than the specified/recommended oil by toyota] they tended to run bearings. I would own one though, almost did once.
Going rwd for cheap usually fails, pick two of the three ; fast, reliable, cheap. You only get 2 out of three.

Very nice car the celica,we had a 1989 model best looking shape imho, paid $625 on trade me,sold it for $800 3 years later. And was 5 speed, went bloody well, managed a camera fine heading over SH29 to Tauranga, and another invioce which have just lost the demerits(yeah),sold it but would've liked to keep it,came in handy when other car was totalled.
I had a 1990 EST183 GT-R with the TEMS, was a good little car, purchased for $400 with a blown head gasket, easy and cheap fix.

Apparently BRONZ not keen on using them as may alienate the public,so might have to be kiwibikers, which are not a heavy weight group per say. With BRONZ behind, the protest would at least give a national club identity.

Power to you girl.
I spent 5 years as a volunteer fire fighter and the article reminded me of some of the weird and off beat places that we were sent to for accidents that were miles out. I remember going into the Manawatu Gorge looking for an accident one day and it was on the Aokautere road and our pagers had come up with a weird place name which no one knew where it was. Took us 30mins to find but luckily no one was seriously injured.
All that I can say is I hope they take serious note of what happened and no one else has to go thru what you've experienced.

hmm both Dom post & tv1 were at the inquest today, Coroner did a fantastic job & really drilled down to the errors that occurred & why.
She has sent St John back to find out several more bits of info, before she delivers her findings, but she has prepared them that the findings may be scathing to several parties and they need to be prepared for that
As the police prosecutor told us (while Kari was being interviewed) if she had not persued this, or been knowledgeable about several discrepancies then this could have easily been swept under the carpet, ... as it is Brett's death will not be in vane
the findings will be released in several weeks time, the coroner apologised to Kari as its almost the 1st anniversary and she was aware how upsetting it can be, she also showed amazing compassion (along with the police) and it was not as clinical as I was expecting

i was hoping for a high altitude parachute insertion via ac-130 at 0100hrs, and if possible close air support then be reinforced later by the Levin battalion... but then i realized NZ has neither :crybaby:

funny thing happened today, had just left work and was weaving within my lane to warm up my tires, then a cop pulled me over, he asked why i was doing that and i told him i was warming up my tires. then he said "ok, carry on". then he got back in his car and drove off.

Had the Tiger booked in this morning for her 10K service and new PR2's. Damn battery was flat due to no use for a few weeks. Had to hail a passing lad to hold the clutch in while I held the starter pack to the terminal and pressed the starter lol.
Anyway, got it down to ANZA and was very kindly given the company Bonnie to pootle around on while I waited. I like Bonnies. So civilised to ride and so much character. Get along at a nice pace too with lot's of friendly torque

Put a fist-sized sticker on the back of your helmet. One that contrasts with the helmet colour. Then pretend you don't have mirrors and look over your shoulder instead. The sticker will make your head checks more obvious. The tester dude will give you big ups for lookout. Oh, and no wheelies :nono:
