No new bike for me, hadnt done the paperwork on the new one (as there was no rush) so hence no deal
So back to my 250cc, and now at least I can get my full licence, then will re-assess and start looking for a new bike again.

I pulled the pin on that mate, got too many things I want to do to the bike between now and Xmas and hopefully have enough money left to see me through the holidays without restricting the riding too much, fed up with running out of money ten minutes into my time off.
Sorting the FCE for the bike this week and next the a BMC air filter and and i'll fit these and the bits I got off R Dog in one fowl swoop, on that does anyone have electrical wiring skills? As I understand it's no biggie but I loath electrical stuff and would'nt mind someone there to make sure I don't f_ck it up!

where the heck do i get those stripey things now pt's is a dead duck? any idea?
Yeh, it is a shame coz I know it's gonna be a mint ride.
Stripey thingy's : Progrip wheel tape. I don't think you'll have too much trouble getting it from a bike shop in town.
Alternative would be buy some pinstripe and use the applicator I have here, the only issue you might have with that is the weight of the backing on the pinstripe might be heavier the the Progrip stuff an make life a bit awkward but you should be able to get around that by having someone to help out by gently pulling on the backing as you apply the stripe. If you choose to go that way buy 7mm wide pinstripe, no more no less and absolutely no less than 6m in length.

yep.
It started out being a bastard of a day and didnt get much better.
rode to work in the rain this morning and was fairly annoyed by the time I got there. Damn I am sick and tired of the fucking rain.
found the dunny had broke and was spewing sewage all over the court area and in the ally way where I park my bike so I parked next to the shed - on the dirt/gravel/sand.
Wobbled the bike and thought it wasnt the best idea but seemed stable enough.
was standing in the shed discussing how wet the course is and heard a loud crash. I knew it was the bike and was just hoping it wasnt.
Run round to find bike lying on the ground.
Fucking pissed me off.
The good thing (if there is one) is that it fell onto soft dirt/sand/gravel so the only damage is a smashed left hand indicator. No noticable scratches which is good and no broken fairings which is better. Still really fucked off with myself for not going with my first instinct.
so now I am trademeing it to find a replacement.

Not sure how big it will be what with a single car garage with 3 vehicles jammed in it (see Concours's aren't that big!).
Which engine to use: 996cc v-twin, 1352cc inline for or 3000cc boxer? oh, hang on can't mow the laws anymore so the mighty 4hp Tecumseh is another option...

Yeah Meanie by the end of the weekend, i was sobbing into me beer !
Awww you were being sarcastic lol ok i hid the sobbing really well !
Actually the adults didn't handle the saturday too well !
I think we did remarkably well considering !
Girls are all boarders and we had the parental permission for alcohol consuption etc, but as happens they pelt near all we supplied by midnight and a few were not looking too well, so i started slipping a few camoflaged waters to them, think there was around ten of em pretending they still had alcohol when it finally came out in the open lol
So of course it kept them raging till way past 3 am
You'd think the older wiser ones would have switched to water also lol

bit of a de-limer
if it is raining then I wont be working - but wont want to ride anyway.
if is is fine I will want to ride - but will probably have work to do
BUT if it pisses down enough and then comes out fine the course might still be too wet to mow and perfect riding weather.
So start doing rain dances till wed.

in the news today....
Good news is on the horizon for those who feel they can't endure another rainy weekend.
The MetService says next weekend is likely to be fine in much of the country, including Auckland, which has not had a dry weekend since May.
"By the standards of what we've had over the last month or two, it's looking terrific," severe-weather forecaster Erick Brenstrum said.
He said Auckland was likely to benefit from an anticyclone forecast to cross the country on Saturday.
"The best way to get good weather in New Zealand is to have the wind cross the nearest mountain range before it gets to you, then any showers or cloud gets dumped in the mountains," he said.
"The reason we can look at Auckland and be reasonably optimistic about next weekend is we're looking at the likelihood of south or southeast winds blowing across the North Island."
He said showers were possible in eastern areas from Gisborne to Wairarapa, and maybe Wellington as the winds crossed the ranges but conditions were also likely to clear in those areas on Sunday.

There was an ad in yesterday's Dominion Post for a liquidation auction onsite at Phil Turnbull Motorcycles on September 6 at 10am.
Auction includes used motorcycles and quad bikes, company utes, workshop tools and equipment, motorcycle parts and tyres, plus retail stock, clothing, helmets and accessories.
For details contact auctioneer: Todd Foster (06) 835-7772 or 021-510-097. www.maidensandfoster.co.nz
It is a shame to see the shop go as at least they had a decent range in there and the guys on the showroom were a lot friendlier than the ones in places like ANZA.
