The wallies at the shop should give you an idea morning or arvo,or if using contractor trucky tell him your there till 1.00pm for a lift. They should be able to work around your time frame not theirs, afterall you're the customer.

Take it from me you are friggin lucky you don't have to move the mother, don't know how often I'd turn up with a king/super king bed and the lift which was supposed to be there wasn't,at least the base is in two pieces, mattress usually a handfull to say the least, and made the heart beat quick.A knack to lift them by yourself.

Hopefully it isn't real estate talk for crappy offer, amazing how the agents come in and say yes we will sell it in a few weeks, then after a FEW weeks they say maybe the price needs moving etc, funny how when you ask what price they say xxx,you agree yep that's about spot on give or take a few thou, then after the novelty runs thin they say maybe we should go this $$$.We are ok as we can still drop 28thou and still make money, but as I said to the agent give me any offers and I will judge them.Funny how the "serious offers" seem to vanish then.

Took Mrs C out for a much needed pootle. It was mint too. Had to go up to wangavegas with Meanie so had a fairly steady run up through Halcombe hill then out through Marton, turakina and on to Wangas. Heaps and heaps of bikes out today and just as many police. Saw an ambulance in high speed mode out the back of turakina and then a massive accident involving a couple of cars just off the bridge in wangas.
Had coffee and chips and decided to head out towards vinegar hill home.
Vinegar hill is mint! Had a great time on it.
Then heading down Chelthaham striaghts I made sure Meanie was in front of me because every time I have had him following me I get pulled over.
Cruising along at 120 and meanie pulls over in front of me. I wonder whats up so pull up to find a cop behind us with his lights flashing. They should create some kind of mirror system on the bike so you can see whats coming up behind you. Discussion on how fast we were going and Meanie near rolling round in the drain laughing and he let us both off and we were on our way. Meanie took off and Mrs C and I made in 10 feet before running out of fuel. Must remember to switch the reserve switch back after refueling.
Again it gave Meanie a good laugh and called Monie to the rescue. Actually I am not sure if she was called for the rescue or just called so more could get in on the laughing.

All in all, it was an eventful afternoon.

Awesome ride today, just one of those nice head clearing rides & good chance to get more intimate with BB esp on the tight twisties

Met Al at the end of his road & first glimpse of the new wheels (got a much closer look up later in the day :D )

in to palmy to meet up with Robertydog .. I was sure that we passed him as we headed in .. & sure enough he came back .. after breaky/brunch & drink of to dannivegas we set

nice we stroll, must say going over the track to come around a corner to find two bikes on my side of the road was  & took a wee bit for the heart to get back into its rightful place & felt a weeeeee bit more cautious for a few ks after that ..

at Danniverke & joined up with Sarge & Sugi & after yet another drink it was time to hit one of my favorite roads .. the scenery stunning, the road interesting & surprisingly in excellent condition.

Since I was out with the fast boyz spent the first part just getting into a bit of a flow with BB .. thanks to sarge for waiting at corners for me :msn-wink: Last road into Ormandville I was getting into a bit of a groove & had sarge following ... cheers mate

after chatting with a harley rider at the ormondville pub for a bit we headed back the same way with a bit of follow the leader .. thanks Sugi that was fun .. noticed that sarge & al had changed bikes & looked like the were having fun (in my rear vision mirror)

stop back at Sugi's for another drink .. & not long after we left it was time to change bikes & take the tiger for a wee strop .. very nice, light and easy to flick around .. lovely upright riding position .. being quite tall I could only just tip toe so stopping on slight incline upwards was interesting

anyhow time to fill up BB & quite a brisk ride back to Palmy :innocent: & finally back in the driveway just on 6.30pm ..

thanks guys . simply a fab day, weather minta, great company, & I  my bike, the relationship is just getting stronger  :devil2:

Cool two water cooled tigers.

We could've run into you guys this arvo, did you go back through the gorge about 3pm?We came back from Tui HQ after viewing the wind towers first, coming back caught up to a couple of bikes at end of gorge, but one blasted off as soon as yellow lines stopped and was gone, came accross a concours as we rode into city limits.

Nothing stopping a group buy, but it depends on how it's sorted. I could go 2-4 tyres and if a few others are keen on 1-2, it would make up 10 pretty quick. Hell, the way you eat tyres, you must be keen on a 1/2 dozen.

be good if everyone wants the same type of tire, apparently it will not be a mixed bag .. but he could be open to change .. depends on interest ..

Personally, having had both Power 2CT and PR2's on the Daytona, I have to say I prefer the Road 2's. Both great tyres but the Power didn't last long. The Road 2's do last longer and you'd have to be REALLY pushing it to benefit from the Power IMHO.

The Tiger came with Pilot Road S, very good! Watch out for thin layers of pollen on the road btw folks.

I will be looking for some very laid back `no I won't be keeping up with you' rides over the next few months until I find my feet.

Observation:
I have ridden a Hornet 900-very solid and secure on the road, would be good for long rides, nice seating postion etc but wide between the legs:whistle:, nice and `smooth' ride.
ER6N-racey wee number, more of a race bike as shit they can go:laugh:Lots of fun but not sure if I would like to ride it all day. Nice seating and leg position-had a bit of a sore back after though.

At least the Triumphs have been spared tonight lol. Speaking of, the Tiger had it's first service today. Seeing as I had no way back to work, I was very kindly lent a lovely wee Bonnie (no flat tyre this time). A little beauty alright, tons of character and got along very nicely

Saw that some poor bugger had crashed his Tiger :shit: felt sorry for him. This one had the Triumph gel seat, flash bars, can, heated grips, oiler, and all sorts of wires that I think must have been for a heated suit. Lot's of broken plastic and scrapes - ouch. He's OK apparantly so that's a relief.

Racked up another 60 km on the way home, nearly there

Spent an hour tonight troubleshooting and dismantling the handbrake light switch on the Daytona. Little bit of corrosion but got it working. Put it back together and it stopped working. Damn things not really meant to be pulled apart, need a new switch.

Excellent. I was reading up the specs and they are pretty light bikes for the capacity. Just take it easy on the throttle as the front lifts without to much effort.

I'm so jealous

You won't be when I let you ride it my friend:niceone:

Ohhhh dear!:shit: I have no intention of doing wheelies...it will be a few months of `Nana' riding until I get used to it.

The Bonnie. What a lovely little babe  Well for a start, this year is it's 50th anniversary. It's a design classic, really simple, good looking and well put together. Slips round corners with the greatest of ease and has a decent amount of torque. 865? cc parallel twin, lovely pipes. Not sure how she'd be on the longer rides without protection, but it depends on what you'll use it for. A windshield should deal to that though  Don't tell Paul, just surprise him eh lol (he'll be green with envy heh heh)

Went out Halcolme, ran into 2 girls out riding on an R6 called the "BladeBreaker" (lol!!!) and a CBR600RR. We all ended up doing a lap out Mangaone Rd and just taking random turns.

Came out by the river when I was expecting to hit Vinegar hill?? Road looped back past a marae and onto the road back to Halcolme near Feltex. Awesome roads to blast through and these two were FAST!

Then went into palmy and over the track, random road off Balance ending at the single lane bridge at the gorge. Then the saddle to Ashhurst. We split there and I headed home with another tyre worn to the belts and a smile a mile wide. 200Km of local roads, nice.

Sounds good mate, pity you did'nt go up to Turangi with Al,Al and Garry, had a nice cruise through to National Park but I felt crook and they were heading through to Wanganui so I decided to shoot through the more direct route to Tiahape by which point I felt much better thankfully things in my stomach settled and felt reasonably chirpy from then on, once again V Hill was great fun and decided it was time for a smoke by the time I got to Ashhurst so I called in on Meanie and Monie only intendeding to stop for a smoke and to check out the revamped seat on Monie new machine and see what they all thought of it but ended up getting way laid by the usual outstanding hospitality :niceone:. Had an awesome run though the lower to mid North Island yesterday.

Didn't have the tyre for anything too far out of town... then remembered the other cbr sitting in the garage with a new back tyre... dumb ass. The run to Turangi wasn't what I was after anyways. I have been hanging out to play on some fast twistie stuff.

I know how good the gear is but I value the body 2 much. I nearly killed myself in 78, was very lucky. Nice lady picked me up and took me to hospital bleeding over the backseat of their new Falcon. I'll keep it under 10,000 revs for now thanks.

Someone on a Red ??? went past me like I was was standing still. I'm in Feilding so will probably see you around. I'm the young one.

:no:Sorry... that may have been me:crazy:

Where you came out by the River/ Marae is a fantatastic swimming spot for summer.

Never been out that way before, always went past the sign to the marae and wondered where it could lead. Now I know!:niceone:

hated dodging horseshit near ballance.

We didn't see any luckily. But the sunstrike coming back down the saddle to Ashhurst was murder! We come out at the bridge by going past the cafe. Were you at that cafe? I nticed a few bikes there in passing.

Were these to girls you ran into locals?

I have a house here now so yes, we are both locals

Ouch. Funny, I was rushed to the doc's for stiches after my first decent crash in the 70's too. Although I was bleeding in the back of a new Statesman :doctor:

welcome, Sarge will be happy there's another Yammie floating around

Hmmm not for long I'm afraid. I've got the itch for a new bike.
The red and black Blade Breaker is actually Ver2. Ver1, a Raven Black tweaked one and my first true love was tragically taken from me in a garage fire last year. After 2 R6's its time for a change.

Just been arguing with City Honda over it yesterday - poor sales guy! I got alittle wound up, you see, I want an 08 CBR600RR BUT with the black graffiti over liquid silver finish - see my album for an image. Apparently Blue wing in ther infinite (lack of) wisdom have neglected to import this model and will only sell the base 3 colours. BORING!

They offered to import one at not much more cost to the retail for the NZ model but with no factory support on warranties from Blue Wing.

They wont support is because they - Blue Wing - aren't the ones bringing it in. It would have to be sourced from either Japan or the US straight to the dealer.

The Thou looked tiny! Far too much power for me thanks. I'm quite happy on 600. I have an irrational fear of high siding and a penchant for getting on the gas too early. In other words I scare me. I thou would kill me with my bad habits and recklessness.

WHAT? nooo thats just wrong!:no::laugh:
I could never image dropping a bike on purpose, especially a brand spanker

It was nice but after seeing what you could have in the graffiti range, the rest pale in comparison

Anyways, I'm setting a bad example for the rabble here, I better get on and do some real work. I have 2 Ptes in need of my not so nice personal movitational techniques.

You should really consider a Bears bike preferably a Truimph. They have avantages down this way as theres so many of them you become almost anonamous.
