i was lucky enough and sarge had a lapse in judgement and let me take the 14 through the gorge. Mint of a mint mint thing is all I can say. Handling is a beautiful thing. Brakes are fucking insane and its got just the right ammount of get up a go. (which happens to be about 100x more than is actually required for a road bike)
Sounds awesome when you twist the throttle and the torque is incredible. If I was selling the 9 then the 14 would be really high on the list for the next one.

Nice for some Al!:bleh:
After your comment on my front end the other day, I've spent some time reading (dangerous thing), but found the issue and solution.
I've just been for a test ride after fiddling with the front and rear and I've achieved a major improvement.
The arse end is much more comfortable and planted! The front has improved a little, but I need new springs to get rid of that harsh feel. I understand Triumph fitted my bike with progressive springs (cope with wheelies), but they're too light up top (.8) and way too heavy down low (1.25)! Constant springs of .9-1.0 should be the go!
I got my horn working properly too, so I got to try that out as I passed cowboyz place.:wavey: Hey cowboyz, how's it going?
Have a great Xmas all!!!:msn-wink:

That's a nice route. I haven't worked out where this primo vantage point was for the Palmy riders at the races. I didn't see any of them either. I don't reckon they were there. <img=src="paste image location here"></img>
Looking mint. Forecast is for much of the same.
I just went for a quiet run with JWalker to Kimbolton and back. Not sure if we passed 3 palmy bikes (the green kwaka was at the rear so it can't have been. We will be at Ashhurst tomorrow but I will only be going to Mangamaire and visiting friends.
We were all there, up on the hill on the far side of cementry in the trees. Well set up we were. You cant of looked hard enough.

What a ride!
Got some good news from my 'financial provider' this morning (pays to threaten em sometimes) so thought I'd do a quick run up to Turangi to check out the new bits (awesome James :niceone:). Couldn't take the Tiger as it's well overdue for it's 10K service so thought I'd wof and reg the Gixxer and give it a run. That done, hit Vinegar Hill at a hammering pace and promptly went onto reserve at 153 kms (normally about 180) about 20 kms north of Waioru! Bugger! Could see rain in the distance, didn't want to turn back so decided to chance it. Crept along the side of the road in the now pissing rain at 3000 rpm, coasted down all the hills hitting 77 kph on the big one :woohoo: finally getting into Turangi with less than a litre in the tank!
James, you did a fantastic job, huge thanks mate!
Finished mopping up the leaks from the roof and thought I'd get away before the rain hit Waiouru but just as I was about to leave an old mate turned up and we nattered for an hour and a half, giving that rain plenty of time to spread evily south.
Hit the road just on 5.30, no wets, and through the heaviest rain I've seen in a long time. The desert road was intense, viz down to about 100 metres and cops parked up on a blind bend causing the line of traffic to all brake heavily and nearly causing a multiple pile up, me included. Just managed to slip around on the inside though.
Fuel and coffee at Taihape (thought I'd better) then back into the wet stuff. As long as it's warm, who cares about rain. Bloody marvelous!
sounds like a wild one.
I am kinda impressed that you stopped for coffee and made it home in the same night!
I was busy working all day in stinking hot weather and made plans to head down the river after work. then it decided to rain at 3.59pm just in time for my ride home. Hmmmmmmmmmm.

Cheers Sarge!
It became apparent very early that Tracy is not ready for the road yet. The 800m ride home was a cringe festival:shit:, so I'll find a quiet car park (thinking work) tomorrow and get her doing some basics. Not really something I wanted to deal with, but she's got to get out there.
Now I'll go and make room for it in the garage!
