Well good weather today at Manfield. Droped by to see the last races, and some spills but good to meet up with some some old faces I hadn't seen in a while. Never realised this was a Super Series event as I thought it was another track day of sorts.

Good to see a Guzzi rider out there as I've never seen one being raced on the track before. Sadly it craped out trailing smoke. :scooter:

had to commute on halcombe hill again to get to Marton. Real pleased about that commute!

Finished just after 3 so pootled down to Manfield to see who was done there. looked like a bit of a crashfest. Only got to watch one race which was F2 which was mint. Some real close racing this round.

Got to see Robertydogs R1 too. He even let me touch it!!!

Back to work tomorrow......... Whats the bet the next day off it will rain!

hmm Ambo out twice once at hairpin and again at splash after a quite specatular high side, definitely one of the busiest crash days .. splash certainly took its fair share of victims, I think we worked out was about 5 races all day with no pick ups.

but thanks to the plonker who ignored all the marshall points trying to get him off the track dropping oil everywhere certainly made things run rather late

Had a magnificent run over Vinegar Hill. The Daytona is running beautifully and it was an absolute stunner of a day. The Hill is in great condition with only a couple of damp patches to worry about. Almost got clipped by a ute and trailer on the wrong side but managed to whip around it. That, and a low flying magpie were the only worries. Great ride!

Freedom is looking rather lean at the moment eh. Hmmmm, hope it's not a sign.

Jacket hopefully arrives tomorrow. It's called H2Protec, it's sexy but not as sexy as the Genetix imo. Tried the Arrow the other day, felt a bit thin for my liking Al.

Meh, it's got nothing to do with being hard or not, I don't enjoy riding in the rain, I ride my bike coz I enjoy it.
Just for the record, I rode my Yamaha's far more in the rain than I have my 14, got more to do with getting older and I can't be arsed beating myself up just to get a ride in when i'm not enjoying it. Some times yes you have to put up with certain amount's of cold, rain etc but i'm not going to go and seek it out... Rant over.

From my extremely limited knowledge of painting you'd be better off not painting until you've got a decent day, one where there's less moisture in the air.. Unless you have a spray booth hidden away somewhere.

Good luck with sorting things mate

I just took dogs for an awesome walk along the beach at Tangimoana. Gorgeous driftwood and Tama (rescue rottie) played in the waves for ages. Colours and scenery awesome. Haven't been there for a while, forgotten how gorgeous it was in a wild sort of way.

Storms have thrown so many trees on the beach it was easy to practice some agility moves with Tera (gorgeous kelpie x bitch) and Tama quite enjoyed it too. He even came out of the water without being called :wari:

Recommend it to anybody who doesn't like to get their bike wet n dirty and wants to have fun with the dog, kids, partner or all. We live in a great country and it is easy to forget that there is lots of fun to be had even when the roads are wet n the wind is blowing

Few kids on dirt bikes there but otherwise quiet.

Probably liked it even more cause I was full of cuban wedges and had just picked up the new item of Triumph gear

Maybe back there tomorrow if the horses of the area don't feel poorly.

Nice to hear you are doing well down south

Coming back from town in the Terrano just now, a kid runs across Fairs Rd. Closely followed by a cat which I had no chance of avoiding. It went under both wheels. I stop and it's dragging itself back onto the footpath where it collapses in a heap panting heavily. It's not looking good with an obviously broken back leg and god knows what internal injuries. I ring the police who put me through to the SPCA. Me and this group of kids find the house where it lives and the owner is very upset. The SPCA arrives within five mins and rushes the cat (Mischief) to hospital. I hope he's OK, this sort of thing is NOT good.

That's not a good way to end the working day. I am glad you stopped, more than the two cars in our street did, for the two cats I had to find the owners of (couldn't leave them where they were). Hope the cat makes it, but glad you managed to miss the kid.

Agree and am guilty of that, all be it I didn't see where the cat came from, and no homes around.

We heard the dog barking on Friday night 8pm ish, thought by his bark it was hedgehog as he gives funny bark, turned out it was a kitten which had been hit by a car,was dead, but warm, next day rang spca, they said yep bring it in,sometimes a kitten is missing and kids pester parents to ring, thye keep them a few weeks frozen, that way kids can bury their pets, kind of cool I thought.

so... do both teams, not just the couches, but the teams members as well, now have the opportunity to get back on the field at the same time? Please say yes!

From my point of view Simon, I am satisfied that the field is leveling. The problem has been a lack of effective communication from the beginning. Yes, there was bad behaviour, was one more 'right' than the other? I don't believe so.

The forces involved have included battling stereotypes, wounded feelings, allegiances, ego's, perceived injustices, half truths, blame, and assumption. To name a few and none of them positive.

But whatever, I'm not playing the game anymore. There are important things to get on with. Hope that answers your question.

I think here is a misinterpretation of what people say ... "honda riders are gay" ... motorcycles are not gay --- they have no determination of sexuality (even if they are used as a sex toy that doesn't not mean they have sexuality) ... therefore they can not be gay. So the correct question is ...

If my Honda is in a forest with nobody to see or hear it, am I still gay?

I was tempted to go with an m30b35 [same as a 635/e28/e32 etc] but depending on how far in love I fall the plan is staying with a 350ci chev, 350th trans and a modified 9 inch rear. But knowing me I will love it's mighty 115hp and not want to ruin a classic :nono:

That is the only soft top 65 shape ambassador in the southern hemisphere, has a 287ci v8, the other engine option was a 327ci v8. We did the body restoration on it, the right hand side was bashed and rusted horribly. This is far worse than a rebel in terms of economy :niceone: Beautiful car!
