Be nice to the hired help, pretty hard to wipe ya arse without hands, and needing helping hands joined to another body creates fun,and when you're not looking they swipe the cotton softs for wet n dry 100grit for revenge.
Good excuse to get out of dishes, enjoy and heal quick, the novelty wears off after a day or seven ,but at least you're out of hostipal.

but the gory details had a abscess on the butt from a deep chafe from cycling, and yesterday morn pain was so bad had to get an ambo ride to hospital .. Mo (bless her heart) came in to stay with me and prob less than a min aft she arrived it burst ..
still needed surgery to flush it out to ensure it does not reoccur and stayed out & Mo's place last nite, apparently not as uncommon at all & with cycling have heard a few horror stories .. and Mo has seen more of my arse than I wanted her to see ... but thanks Chick for everything  and thank you for not taking the gory pics

thats the way to do it. you got to be really really unlucky or a complete prick to be booked for no rego.. and even if you do at $200 you have to be booked twice in 6 months before being in the red.

hmmm, what you want in that situation is a KERS (kenetic energy recovery system) you 'engine break' to spin up a flywheel to bout 50,000rpm, then it gives you bout 60hp or less when it spools down, last bout 30 secs iirc so plenty to avoid the popo.

Careful with that throttle grip not glued on. It may start to slip when it heats up and expands, as mine did on the Parapara's:doh: Not sure who's stupid idea it was to use hairspray:2guns:

Around the other way the "Oxford" is up the right way..........a bit weird actually as they say in the book to fit them however it works as long as you don't foul anything, so why would they put their brand name upside down when turned like mine? It's not as it needs to be like that so you can see "Oxford" up the right way from underneath the bars....

yeh, 86k so may need a top end rebuild, but nah, no need for going too hard out, would be plenty quick enough with 50hp, and seeing as I'm redoing the suspension on both ends it will be able to use all that power round the bendy bits too!

My bros was smaking out a fair bit of power [considering] and had done 27km. I believe it had been around the clock as the clutch was somewhat shagged. I think it had a cam kit in her, had some mega jetting done and a full stainless system, which sounded the bees bobs.

yeh, my clutch is on the way out too, kinda thinking if I can get the electric going good enough to be a daily commute I might pull the bros to bits and do a thorough job of it all before summer, with enough time and a not insignificant sum of cash I reckon I can turn it into something fucking epic.

I've ridden a few ks on an R6. Beautifully put together machine, but be careful if you do get it. They are blisteringly fast, light and responsive and being a modern sportsbike the speed is very deceptive. That is, take it really easy for the first few months until you get thoroughly used to it. It's very easy to be lulled into a false sense of security by a bike like that. They're not too bad comfort wise either.

No worries. Yep, and even during the run in it'll be very fast. When I first got the Daytona I surprised myself on many occasions by the deceptiveness of a new bike, having ridden older ones before that. The issue you will find is that because they are so fast and smooth and quiet, your sensation of speed is negligible. So that means that when you approach a corner which you would normally have a good feel for on your old bike, you will suddendly realise that you are travelling a lot faster than your senses would have you believe. That's what you need to take into account and be ready for.

Awww, you're only doing a little bit of it!
Haven't been on it for a wee while but watch that road from Eke to Alfredton - it can very greasy during winter. Also, the same applies for just north of Pongaroa. If wet or cold watch any shady places. And keep an eye out for the usual loose metal and roaming stock.
Route 52 rocks but use care!

Good advice, will be dodgy in places for sure, not to mention tractors come out of paddock leaving mud all over the road etc... How annoyed were were you when I said I did'nt want to do Porangahau /Wimbledon on the way back last weekend? Must be hard to find a travelling buddy that'll go the distances you're used to..

What brand chain did you get, I was quoted a DID X-Ring (which is the standard chain) a while back at $500!!!

Was thinking of metz m6,or diablo but stuck with pr2 again,$588 set, made choice easy. And have done probably 15-17500km.Were on the bike at 10500km and changed at 25500km.
Had a discussion in Hastings shop about Shinko 005,looked good price($485 set)but figured they might last 13-15000km and extra cost of pr2 gives extra km so worth the extra $100.The conversation with the guy was 2 guys headed to Burt Munroe last year, riders on TL and SV1000,the TL and SV had new tyres on same day,the TL had totally stuffed tyres after return back on Pirellis, the SV had about 2/3rd tread left on return, take a little while to warm up.
