On second thoughts:
it will fit those brake calliper we listed

I'm more worried about this bit
Please note: Anti-lock braking system helps remain control while braking, but it tends to increase braking distances under some circumstances.
It appears to be an adjustable pressure relief valve, calibrating that fucker would be interesting

would assume it stores the fluid inside to go back into the line. Mind you it could be a pressure cut-off valve too. Either way, I'm thinking I'll pass.

Agreed. A proper system (like on the Connie - pretty sure there's more to it than a couple of fittings :msn-wink:) does increase braking distances if it kicks in.
I've had it kick in on rough roads (corrugations coming into a corner) which is pretty scary as all of a sudden there's no braking (really only for a fraction of a second but it doesn't feel nice). I'd still rather have it than not as the Connie's brakes are awesome and the ABS has also possibly saved an embarrassing moment in the wet...
Maybe if we had better roads...

Nah, probably seizes and won't let the fluid back ot the calliper, nice wee lock ups everywhere and then you die.

Little shits
This is unfortunatly becoming very common amongst our youth and with such poor legislate and pathetic laws to deal with them they get away with little more than told off, and they know it which is why they keep doing it. They wont even be out of pocket because more often than not they cant afford to pay the reporation and are not made to pay it.
Give them to the victims to deal with, might discourage them next time

Needs, new clutch (Ordered from Hong Kong for $49.17nzd :niceone: )
New chain and sprockets, ordering sprockets right now.
New air filter, will grab one next pay day if I start feeling tight.
Brakes feel like shit, but, it's crap fluid, pistons seem fine, but, I'll whip them off and have a look.
Some oil, 'cos I dropped it all out then whipped out the clutch.
:devil2: $800.
Needs a clean too

Haven't taken it for a ride, got the clutch out and the oil ran away.
Stupid screws on the brake reservoir are munted too, so will have to get an impact driver and smash the little fecker.
It is a fatty for a 4hundy, it's just a sleeved down ZZR600....I imagine the ride will be
Although I'm loving the dirty four pot calipers. It feels very very comfy though, so I might get rid of the CBeige.

Hey guys.....as some of you may be aware I relocated back down to Christchurch on the 14th of Jan this year. Well I was just starting to set myself up and then everything took a turn for the worst at 12.51pm on the 22nd of Feb. It was a harrowing experience and none that I ever want to go through again. Well I am packing my bags and leaving my beautiful city bound once again for the Mighty Manawatu.
Sinful told me when I left that I will be back, I just did not expect it this way. I could be up for just 10 days, or I could be up for the next 40 years. Angie (my g/f in PN) and I will be talking about the options over the next few days...
So if you see me on the roads or in Cuba Cafe be sure to wave out

good luck with that! must be a huge earner for the government. More realistic idea might be to have a tax cap, so even if the price increases above $1.50 we only pay tax for $1.50 amount.

Got the new chain on today thanks to CBFB and his angle grinder, sadly when I got to the adjusting part I have found that some right cunt has broken the adjuster on the RHS, plus I think I've got one too many links in there.

Have cut/polished the dirty pig and I'll polish both bikes up today and sort the rear brake on the Kawabigfatpig today, it's an unusual rear brake, twin piston set up but it looks as if one piston is larger....
Then I think I'll spend the rest of the day riding! Being a student is quite nice at the moment.....
Another cup of tea then in to it.
Anybody know of someone who rides a Duke monster with twin stacked pipes and a Ducati jacket? I was following him/her yesterday and it sounded tasty as, didn't really go that well, I imagine it was a 600 :baby:

Have seen a few bikes around today, many waves too!
Clutch for the Kawaboat has arrived (at the wrong address) so that will be fitted tomorrow, battery courtesy of Matty at Freedom Suzuzuzuzuzki should be in the bike by the end of the week. So all going well, I'll be taking it to Uni next week! Kind of excited, even though I know it's big, fat and heavy with next to no power. Kind of like Mexico in a way.
What's new chaps?

whats new.... hmmm, been working on my bike way more than riding it, got a u-bend so can start working on the exhaust this week. Am thinking about making a brake res to bolt on the back of the rear master, rather than having a hose run next to the exhuast, but the banjo is on top and not sure if the res would have to be higher than that?
also welded heaps of ally mount points to my subframe last week, should be all set now  getting a proper E-marked LED brake light, then can put together a tail tidy.
hmmm, reading that, I guess I could have just answered modding :D
haven't been for a porper ride since coming back from hb at 2am in the morn almost a month ago, have to change that.

Well my old man turned up to my flat today on a new(used) bike. See he got himself 2000-2002? a Triumph ST he bought from some guy in Tokaroa. Had a spin on the bike and have to say the triple engine does sound better then your average IL4.
Funny thing was the fuel light was on and fuel gage read empty so I quickly pop into the nearest petrol station only to find the fuel tank was full to the top. Apart from that I have to say the bike felt quick nice to ride.

What are ya talikin' about? there's plenty of room left there yet, a good couple of inches... :D I have to admit I enjoyed that a whole lot more than the first ride down in Wellington, still i'm left with would I or not, in isolation they are great but if you love riding bikes (two wheeled ones) it's just not the same but then again it shouldn't be expected to be the same either. I dunno, just dunno... We'll see what they are worth when a few second hand one hit the market.

Know what you mean Sarge, i enjoy two wheels much more but then again they were a bit of fun. Far too expensive for what they are, especialy the touring models. If they wernt worth so much id be tempted to have one in the shed to play on now and then.

I didn't reckon the touring ones were that far off the mark given that market they are aimed at which I think is squarely at the Goldwing, i'd rather ride the CanAm rather than the Goldwing if that was what I was after. Going for a ride 'round the Porangahau loop with Jonno, you coming? :D
